I was pretty dang close to the 6,400 pound, recommended, limit. From up above Salt Lake City back to Blythe California. It was not flat country and went through Salt Lake and Vegas traffic. Ya got any towing questions I may be able to help.

I averaged 13.8 mpg. I was surprised as heck. It is more down hill that up from Salt Lake to Blythe. What really surprised me was how well the Taco did down hill. I was really worried it would run away. ECT on and Sport selected, this thing was amazing down hill. And the uphill, was not so bad. It never struggled to do at least 55mph and I wasn't pushing it at all. I actually was averaging around 62mph.

Trailer brakes work well? That would be my main concern.

Yep, U-haul surge brakes worked great. I only needed them in traffic. The motor and tranny work great on the down grade, come to find out.

Well that’s pretty good to see. I was wondering if towing a ‘75 FJ40 would be to much. I was looking at that UHAUL trailer as well. Do you have a brake controller?

It's a 06, with 144,000 on it. It runs great but has gremlin that I am tracking down. My son bought himself a new auto and is now off my insurance.

Beaver is a little town in Utah, along I-15. They claim to have the best-tasting water in America.

IDK about the water, but we found the highest incidence of crooks, from the hotel not honoring the “free breakfast”, to the restaurant not coming back with our change, to the gas station charging above the posted prices.

There were lots of “Jesus loves” signs everywhere we went, though...

Those are some impressive MPG’s. Towing that much weight I figured you’d reach the single digit range. To go anywhere from where I’m located it’s all uphill and my MPG’s drop to 14 during any hill climb.
