I think I'd the OP wants an honest opinion, he needs to chime into his own post and let us know what his intentions are with the truck.

another thought too... not dissing a 6" because they look bad ass on tacomas, but tend to ware parts a little faster due to the angles IE.. cv axals, u joints.. if you go with a 3" and still want a taller tire. there is always the option of a 2-3" body lift and still maintain a factory ride for an every day driver..

All, quick thank you on providing me different perspectives on my lift. I am going for mostly MC look as this is my daily driver. So far I like the look of BT23 and T4...S's trucks...BA gents. After some research I've been looking at the TC 6" for roughly $1.6 and 18" badlands and 33" goodyear duratracs. Not set on this look yet, but have roughly $4k for everything. Want to get this right the first time. Please continue providing me insight...

    This actually is not true.

A 6" lift is much easier on the truck than a 3" lift due to the drop braket that puts you at stock angles

X2 you have better stock angles with a drop bracket versus a 3" kit

A drop bracket keeps your cv angles more in stock than any 3" lift and i sure wouldn't recommend a 3" lift with a 3" body lift

Your db lift has a skid covering the new cross member. You will have to have full custom front skid made full custom transmission skid and mid skid. Saying your lift "has a skid" is an exaggeration and manipulation of my point and does not change my facts or points that there are not full heavy duty skid sets readily available. Sure anything can be done full custom and other than being tippy, if you spend enough money, a db lift can out do a 3" mid travel i n many scenarios. That is not the case for 99% of users. They will add bolt ons that can be installed at the local shop. Your kit can retain the factory skid using factory mount points

If he is willing to spend that much he should consider long travel

Correct, only drive shaft angles are worse, not cv angles.

While I agree with that, you realistically addressed one point in my conversation. I again acknowledge our shortcomings as 6 inch lifters. But let's give all kits due respect where respect is due and all of the facts, not biased opinions
