NEW '14 SR Package (not SR5)- Delivered Today

First post from a new member, as I just took delivery on my new (and first ever) Tacoma.

It's got the new SR package on it and finding this beauty took dozens of phone calls to local dealers and finally a swap from my local dealer. All told, the truck now has 500mi on it post delivery, but she's one sweet machine.

I've already got Brandon at Avid working on a light bar/bumper guard. I plan on hauling motorcycles in this baby, so putting a BedBuddy in the back and looking at reinforcing my tie-down cleats.

Otherwise specs are as follows, pretty simple:

- SR Package, with the black wheels stock (the main reason I had to have this trim)
- Convenience
- All Weather Door mats/sill protectors

That's it!

Looking forward to getting some knowledge from this group. This site has already been a tremendous resource.

Here is my SR package. My first Truck ever and I can't be any happier with my decision. I just walked into the dealer and saw this model compared to others and had to get this one.

What's so special about this sr package? For the most part I see color matched mirrors and fancy black rims I could be wrong though

SR package has color overfenders, door handles, bumpers, grille surround and mirrors with turn signals, plus smoked headlight lenses and black finish 16-inch Baja wheel style. Mine has fog lights too. Also not in SR package, but mine has the v6 tow package, convenience package, and entune audio plus.

 

comes with the black headlight mod already on it

I got mine 3 weeks ago with 3 miles on the ticker, I too liked the black alloys (would have bought them anyways) that came with the SR package as well as the other details (Built in Texas to boot!). I am impressed with the truck and I look forward to lifting it and getting some armor and a RTT setup.
