Defiantly, After about 5k miles the engine seemed a little more peppy after it's broken in. I got 9,945 miles on mine now!

Man you have a short attention span, lol. Didnt you just trade a Colorado (or was it a Canyon) in on your new Tacoma? Can't believe you're already thinking about trading it in.

I also noticed after 5000 miles it got more peppy and the mpg went up now I am getting around 18mpg. Happy with that with load I am hauling every day.

Part of me was thinking to plan long term and go big with the DCSB V6 6AT, but I'm legitimately concerned about the issues being reported and overall cost. At this point to my thinking there are 2 options: wait a year or two, or go with the trustworthy 2.7L 5MT and save myself the hassle of trying to make lemonade.

I love my 2.7L. I wish I could get the trusty manual trans but so far the auto has been OK. I've started driving in S5 unless I'm on the highway as that seems to cut down on some of the shifting.

I have your exact truck color and all. I wish I could have gotten the manual trans as well. The auto hasn't been that bad for me either. I've noticed that that I can control the transmission/speed much better if I don't use the cruise control. I just have to make the trans shift to 5th a little early before I hit a hill to maintain speed. My wife has a Honda Pilot and it shifts just like the Tacoma does, it just shifts much smoother so you don't notice its doing it.

Just picked it up this morning up in Rochester NY I met the guy. I'm now over Niagara Falls and I'll be heading back to Pittsburgh soon, it's a 4 hour drive back.

Yeah I saw it on that truck you posted the picture of.

I'm having buyer remorse for buying a black truck. You can see where birds shat on it after I hand wash and dry it. It sits 3 or 4 days without being driven and the birds really bomb the darn thing. I have been down in the dumps here lately. Hard just to not let it bother me and just wash it once a week and forget it.

Yep part of the reason why I traded my black 13 in for my new one that's silver but I also made 2k on the trade in lol

If I trade it in, I won't get another truck. Liking the looks of the new RAV4's.

I have the exp one rangemax bumper due to hitting a deer and the aftermarket being cheaper than the stock bumper. I just can't wait to get my ome lift with my stock FJ alloy 8 hole wheels powder coated black and 285/70/17 yokohama go15 installed. I love my 2.7 dbcb.

Looks good. How heavy? Fixes one thing about my Tacoma that I am not thrilled with...the crunchable plastic parts in the front of the truck. I wish there was something to step on to reach the engine.

I don't remember the exact but it was between 100 - 150 lbs. I thought my gas mileage was going to take a hit but it still stays in the 23-25 range.

Good to hear. I can't seem to crack the 25 mpg barrier. I am very solid in the 23 to 24 mpg range but I have a 200 ft first gear climb when I leave my house. I am amazed how stable the fuel consumption is. I had one tank at 21 mpg but that was in the winter with cheap crapanol gas. That was the worst I have experienced over the last 9000 miles.

From what I have read on this forum, fuel economy will take a big hit with the bigger tires. Probably less that 20 mpg.
