Personally, I think I preferred my center console assembly out of my 14 better. I felt the console storage box under the arm rest was bigger and it had 3 cup holders instead of two, but the difference could also be due to my 16 being an MT

    Not one! Love the truck

Frame rust? Had my 2011 for almost 5 years and never saw a
single sign of rust anywhere on the vehicle.

I loved my 2002 Tacoma Pre runner, was the most reliable vehicle I ever owned 241,000 trouble free miles. I have a 2016 Tacoma limited ( its twice the truck and was twice the price to) now with 400 miles on the clock and so far loving it, and hope it holds up as well as the 2002 model.

Absolutely love mine! I haven't had any problems with it yet (1700 miles) and my factory cover has been water tight for me. Being in Nevada we don't really have to worry about rust.

Just got home from picking up my Tacoma TRD OFF ROAD 4WD AC in Barcelona Red. Wow! $500. Over Invoice thru Costco. It is much better looking than pictures document. Thirty five mile drive was great. Actually the ride is better than I expected. Will make it better when I replace the Wranglers. Will post pictures tomorrow. Pretty excited.

I have the factory navigation system and it pretty much sucks. It has an off white background with the secondary roads in white. On a bright day you don't have a map, you have a white screen with a darker line for the road you're on, making it almost useless. I use the nav for work every day and am probably going to go back to using my Garmin.

My other issue is that if you have the cruise control on the transmission shifts constantly. I drive the same interstate route to my office every day and with the cruise control on the transmissions shifts between 6th and 5th and back to 6th 13 times in 20 miles. With it off and driving the same route and speeds it only shifts once.

The fit and finish are great and I really like the looks. If they fix the cruise control problem I'll really like the truck, if not I'll probably look at an F150 in a couple of years.

I have yet to see a vehicles navigation perform as well as smartphones/google maps.

I also wish auto manufactures would have a two option cruise selection; one for maintaining the speed strictly, like they do now and the second for maximizing mpg which could mean letting the speed drop and not downshifting.

I bought a 2001 Pontiac Aztek when they first came out and don't regret a thing. I just block out all the haters.

I think this truck is great. Just minor complaints.

    - no driver side handle bars <-- dumbest shit ever not to have one on the driver side. It's like buying a minivan and not have sliding doors. You have to crawl through the front seat.
-engine sounds loud n broke when starting or turning off.
-the galvanized bolts on the bed looks atrocious. Easily fixed with a bed mat but still.
-I could be wrong but rear seats don't fold up. That's annoying.
-and the rear seat backs can't fully food down without taking head rest off. But if you do take the head rest off and put your seats back up. It looks goofy.

So uk. Once I got past little things like that. I do love this truck.

I had the dealership remove the headrests in my access cab as they are bolted in. They said now if you haul Munchkins back there you have to put the headrests back in. I put them in a rubbermade tote and stuck them in storage for if I ever want to sell the truck.

I absolutely hate the suspension in the 2016 Limited! My 5th Toy truck and will be my last if I can't fix it. Any advice re: a great aftermarket suspension would be appreciated. Not interested in lift or extremes, just za hood ride that doesn't wallow. This truck won't sit still, always moving, doesn't damp. It's not safe on undulating pavement.

What is this rust everyone keeps talking about? The only rust my trucks have ever seen is the occasional rusty nail I pick up in my tires. #caliving :burnrubber:
