    Hi All,
I finally had to replace my Nissan Pathfinder and bought our long dreamed of 2016 Tacoma. However, with the seeming scarcity of SR5 double cabs with long beds in our area (and this being my first time buying a new car from a dealership), I ended up purchasing a Silver exterior/ Black interior with the red accents sight unseen (i had only seen the grey interior). I have no qualms about the black interior and I didn't think that I'd be sensitive to it, but as soon as I saw the big red accent panels on the doors and above the glove compartment, I had a sinking feeling in my stomach and it has bummed out my new purchase. Does anyone know if those panels can be easily replaced with the ones used in the grey interior? I really hate the red ones.
    Thanks!

Don't have an answer and I hate that for you. I can see putting down a deposit sight unseen, but I can't imagine writing the final check and signing the paperwork without sitting in and test driving the exact one I was buying.

When I picked up, I figured I'd get used to it and it wouldn't bother me...I really only cared that I got the model/engine/bed that I wanted. But looking at those panels, it looks like they would be relatively easy to switch out at a future time if they continue to bother me...

A shop might be able to do some sort of wrap over the orange, like vinyl or something. Might be cheaper than replacing, and can always be returned to stock for resale.

they are easily removed and post up on the marketplace here, you may find someone willing to swap with you!

Also, plastidip or spray paint could work as a last resort.

Thanks! Does anyone know what those panels are called, both so I can research how they would be removed and what to call them to swap?

Those aren't what I'm talking about 5150. Those are the bezels around the gauge cluster. I am talking about the big colored panel on each door and above the glove compartment.[IMG]

I have the super white dclb and I like you purchased not knowing mine had burnt orange stitching and panels. I actually like mine and the material but get what your saying. There should be a way to swap those, I just don't know where the air bag is above the glove compartment so don't know if that's a issue or not to change..

I want to change my light grey side door panels on my SR for black. Seems easy enough to get off (the oem audio install video shows how to take off the door panels). The one above the glove box I have no idea.

I wouldn't like the bright orange either. It doesn't even go with the truck!

Try the Toyota parts department and see what black ones would cost. I had to bite the bullet and have them order the grey colored dash bezel...worth the money for my opinion because I couldn't take that orange color for much longer. I then sold my orange bezel on the TW swap.
