New 2015 tacoma trd sport 4 dr

I have always been a jeep guy. I've had two before getting the taco. So far I love the vehicle. My question is what makes them so damn popular? I bought new because all the used ones with less than 30k miles were the same price as the new ones. This baffles me. Does any onE have a list of super things about this truck that I dont know about ?

 

Resale value was one of the main reasons I bought my Taco. They hold value extremely well.

Super things (in my eyes):

Reliability-Toyota built a reputation on this
Capability-like the Jeep: short wheelbase, maneuverable, 4wd.
Simplicity-lacks some of the bells and whistles, but the basics are there and proven.

Also been a Jeep guy in the past. My regular cab Taco reminds me a lot of my XJ, it's the perfect size and fun to drive.

 

What are some very basic mods that can my tacoma performing like a jeep on the hills and trails?
