I just bought ome 885s with billstein 5100s, lr uca, and deaver aal and I'm beginning to rethink lifting my truck. The reason why I want to lift it is for camping on the beach where 4x4 is pretty much required. Sand can get really soft at PINS(padre island national seashore). Also increase my load in the rear. Not a big fan of my back end sagging when I go down there. I'm a very outdoorsy kind of guy. Should I do the lift and risk any warranties?

Seeing that you already paid for the lift I'd say go for it. I had a 3'' lift on my 2011 and the dealer did warranty work on it (driver side diff seal leak) no questions asked. Most dealers wont bother you unless your higher than 3'' and they still have to prove your lift caused the part failure per law. Your CVs will wear faster, your geometry will be different so possible vibes but my currently lifted 15 with 8k miles dosent have any and my 11 didn't either but every truck is different.

Go for it that's about how many miles I had on mine when it was lifted. It has very little effect on warranty it only effects parts that are directly related to the lift

I plan on it depending how it looks with the AAL. I will still have my 265/65/17 so I don't want to go too high yet. Hopefully the front will only give 2.5in and 1.5 in the back. If it doesn't, I might start looking into bigger tires and new pack. As for my final decision, lift is going on this week! How long do yall think it will take to install with the coils and struts assembled and everything else with me and another guy? I've never done this before

I've done it before so it was quick. But AAL and new coilovers and rear shocks and a few beer/shit stories, took us an hour or two. The worst will be lining up your leaf packs for the aal.

AAL is a pain in the ass. FWIW, unless you're a circus midget there isn't room for 2 guys to install those parts unless you're doing both sides at once.

Figure 30 minutes for the struts if you're following a DIY walk through and don't have any stuck bolts, and maybe an hour for the AALs.

Double that if one guy watches the other guy work.

We each did a side, or one handed bolts, disassembled, etc. This was both our 2nd 2nd gen same lift so we knew how to do it quick and shnazzy.

OP be careful of the centerpin not to strip the threads lining up the leafs.

I installed all the same components you listed recently, at 17K. I am an access cab, you are a double cab. I ended up nearly level with that, maybe a 1/2" rake. I then put in a 1" block in the rear and got my rake back where I like it. This pic is pre-1" block.

I, like you, had never done anything like this before. I took it head on, solo. First AAL I struggeld with only because I could not get the shock nut off the top, ended up cutting it off. That was 3 hours on a thursday evening. Next morning, other AAL took maybe an hour. The got into the new UCAs and front shocks and coils. Mine were assembled also. Took maybe 6-7 hours for me to get the front done. lots of breaks with Ipad reviewing install videos and such. Tip---the long rear UCA bolt is a bitch to get out. Have to bend a little bit of metal and, it takes some coersion. When you get it through, leave it right there, stuck where it is, cuz u just gonna have to get it in through the new UCAs. U can do it. to align the leaves after you open them up, have a long 1/4" socket extension to line up the holes, fits perfectly. Makes getting the new centering pin through a breeze.

Are yours 265/65/17? I might just do it today... My only problem is getting the alignment done, I'll have to drop it off tomorrow morning
