Alright guys n gals. We have started building the 2016+ Tacoma web page. As of now there is only a foundation set. We have several weeks of pictures, videos, drop down, and content to figure out!

We also have several weeks or more of research and development!!

Our September and October just got slammed with a few custom projects and a tundra group buy:) But we will work Tacoma research into our schedule too!!

I’ll post videos and pics as I’m able to.

Check out the page so far:

As of right now, he next truck that we prototype on, we will focus mainly on single exhaust. The low end torque loss with duals was pretty considerable. We were actually able to gain low end with a single exhaust.

But when OV comes out with the turbos we will be first to market with a dual system

Any results or opinions on using the helmholtz resonators yet? Good to hear no power loss on the single, if you can dial out the drone that'd cover all my reservations.

That is currently in the works. Once the other Taco gets in the shop, Keith plans to knock out the small Drone. He will test it little by little with a custom helmholtz until it’s resolved.

    Dammit!

    :spending:

IIRC, Mat said he thought 250hp was possible with a better exhaust. Hell, he got his stock Pro up to 238 with his 91 octane file.

What we are going to do is make an adjustable helmholtz resonator and change it’s lenfth inch by inch until we are able to tune out the drone.

It’s not bad now, but I think that I can get rid of it.

Sub'd for later. The x-pipe looks interesting. I'd be glad to get rid of the low-hanging portion of the stock exhaust with the minimal amount of new parts, though I've never been too concerned with the sound.

So would that involve just purchasing the x-pipe? Or would that not mate up to the stock system on both ends? I'm not opposed to changing the sound, I just don't see the point in spending $$$ for it! :) Plus, something like this I can do myself in my garage.

That stock droopy portion, however, has got to go!

We will have an option to tie whatever we make back to a stock tailpipe.

You would have to send us your stock mid pipes and your stock tailpipe. We would make our modifications and build you a catback. Then send it all back to ya.

Sounds good. I have tinnitus, so what some think is "not bad" is unbearable to me. The exhaust drone just exacerbates the ringing and make it worse temporarily.

I want this setup. Can't say it'll work with the hi clearance bumper I'm going to get though

Enough grunt for what? You can put an afternarket exhaust on a 2 stroke if you want

For those waiting for sound clips I just posted a video of my latest mod on my build page and you can listen to the sound of the exhaust when I use my automatic starter to start my truck. I’ll look to see what I can do about uploading some cold start sound clips and other sound clips to this page though. I know there are a lot of members wanting to take a listen to this new system!

That looks awesome but with bed flex, frame flexing, and road vibration would it mess up the exhaust or the part of the bed that's cut? I want to do this now.

Could you post the link to the actual post in your thread? That’s a LOT of pictures and videos to scroll through, and I didn’t see it in your most recent post (Meso turn signals).
