Best way to break down the different builds:

Stainless steel is a combination of 304, 409, and steel. Anything critical that is suseciptable to rot out is some form of stainless. All of the above is twice as thick as stock and is designed and warrantied to last the life of the vehicle no matter the environment the vehicle is operated in.

Aluminized steel saves about $100 per part of the system. It’s meant to be operated in the southwest. It is warrantied for life just like our stainless system, except for corrosion. We can’t warranty corrosion or rot.

Even if the system is ordered online, I still talk with each and every customer to make sure muffler sizing is correct for the sound that they’re looking for based on the entire system.

In other words if is guy wanted their system really quiet but didn’t want cats on the mid pipes I would build their muffler section with a huge muffler. If they wanted it really loud and were running cats in the mid pipes I would build their muffler section really small. But either way I’d want to talk with the customer prior to building the system

    Okay thanks for the explanation.
Sounds like a pretty decent deal. Going to keep this in mind.

Hopefully you can clarify something for me:
I'd heard through the grapevine that the sensor bungs had to be welded on to install for those new mid pipes?

    Thanks, great explanation.

And I'm in the Southwest, so aluminized is convenient lol

@dirtydeeds one last question: following testing, what observations were made on back-pressure, especially regarding power down low? Would any of the testing happen to have included someone running one of the OVTune maps?

If I wanted just the muffler, what size input/output do I need? 2.5"? I think the 16x5 is what I want. Also can it be MIG welded with regular wire or does it need stainless?

Yes. Ron’s truck has an OVtune. And he went from our old catback system to our new whole system and noticed a huge improvement in low end torque with the new system.

This system and the OVtune go hand n hand for sure.

So our miffler only option is $150 aluminized steel. And $200 stainless steel.

Here’s what wire and gas to use:

Aluminized use steel wire and 75/25 gas
Stainless use 308LSI and tri-mix gas

The stock tubing is 409 stainless and you can weld either steel, 409, or 304 to it with just about whatever process you want. 409 can just about be treated as steel or 304 stainless.

So looking on the website, I quickly noticed that prices range from $500 to $1900. That’s quite the disparity. Can you elaborate a little bit on what may be the most bang for your buck configuration for those of us slightly less mechanically inclined?

Speaking in general terms, I understand every truck may be a little unique.

Most cost effective way to get the best system is to order

Trade your stock mid pipes for our fabricated mid pipes
    Y pipe
    Catback

Awesome. And this setup would get rid of the god awful pipe hanging below every 3rd gen that you can see a mile away? I think someone referenced it on the first page but yeah, I can’t stand looking at that. I’d pay good money to get rid of that eye sore.

Yessir. Our = length mid pipes and Y pipe take care of that atrocity.

IMO the equal length mids and unrestricted y pipe are what make this system better than others. I’ve been running it for about a week and appreciate the better performance so far.

    Hey Keith @dirtydeeds
I'm currently running a 3" catback with a 5"x8" Oval x 24" long Magnaflow muffler dumped before the axle and like the sound but definitely would like to get a full system but don't want to get too much louder than what I have.

Is it possible to get a system with: modified stock manifolds, single y-pipe, and a muffler that dumps before axle?

We can do that no problem.

Biggest lesson that I learned years ago when I was engineering a system for 5.7 tundra: use the stock oddball sized tailpipe. It’s 2 3/4”. Every other system made for tundra uses an aftermarket 3” pipe.

3” is too BIG for a stock tundra with 5.7L and 381 hp. How much power does a non turbo 3.5 make?
