First post on the Tacoma forum, apologies if I over step. I'm a Land Cruiser guy and spend a lot of time on those forums. I work for a Toyota dealership in Central PA and built a Tacoma for the showroom. Not looking to sell it on here, was just out for some opinion on my build...

Started with a new 2017 Double Cab Sport (V6 Auto) with the upgrade package, sunroof heated seats and smart key. I didn't have one in stock with the JBL option but had four of these so I did one.

Wanted to come up with a truck to honor those mid-1980's pickup's so we did a retro style graphic on the fenders with modern colors. Here's the list of other mods and some pics...

-Old Man Emu Suspension 2.5 Inch Lift (stock load)
    -SPC Adjustable Upper Control Arms
    -Toytec Differential Drop Kit
    -Method 17-8.5 305NV Wheels
    -Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/70/17E
-Custom Katzkin Leather (Black with Orange Stitching and TRD Logos)
    -Hypertech Speedometer Recalibration
-Custom designed 80's Retro Graphics and TRD Bedside Logos
    -Toyota All-Weather Floor Liners
    -TRD Cold Air Intake
    -TRD Cat Back Exhaust
    -TRD PRO Skid Plate
-TRD Oil Cap and Radiator Cap
    -TRD PRO Grille

    1.jpg 3.jpg 9.jpg 13.jpg 6.jpg

When I ran the idea by the GM he said to build it the way I'd like it if it were mine. Would just love to hear the opinions of Tacoma owners. Thanks!

Should drive some great foot traffic and close some deals for sure. I like the retro look personally. Interested to see what the dealership ends up selling one with those mods for!!

OMG a dealership that didn't slap on a spacer kit and rockstars!!! What is this world coming to.
Retro vinyl looks cool.. I would have done something to the hood/skewp to match.
What's it listed for $$? Just curious

I priced the modifications reasonably (PPO for factory stuff, regular price on aftermarket with small labor/install cost) but still have it listed at MSRP plus those mods. Comes to $49863. Truthfully I'm not in a huge rush to move it, I'm still considering it for myself lol. It came out better than I had seen it in my head. I have two guys in the store that do all of our ads and website stuff. They laid out the stripes and sent the file to a local sign guy that cut and installed. It was their idea to redesign the TRD sticker and color match it. I also did a charcoal gray TACOMA on the tailgate that is really subtle.

I've since matched the front window tint to the rear as well, just not updated the photos.

Thanks! I figured there would be some that liked and others that didn't. One of the reasons that I went with the orange stitching and trd logos on the seats instead of a full orange center insert. It wouldn't be too much if the graphics ended up coming off and the truck was all black. Appreciate the feedback!

I personally love this thing!! Especially the retro graphics. I maybe would of took them a little further back, but still none the less they look great. This was very tastefully done, and hope this build does well for your dealership.

I like the looks of the truck but definitely don't like the price. A 50,000 dollar Tacoma come on. Toyota is getting very out of hand with these truck prices. The stock vehicle price is to high and then add mods.

What was the sticker price before the mods? Just curious, not trying to amplify ^that.

The trucks awesome. Vinyl on the fenders and the katskinz really step it up.

Great looking truck and anyone who knows anything should see the quality behind the build. The retro graphics arent my style but they still look good. I would have put on the Pro Healights and maybe Tail lights on it and along with possibly upgrading the Fogs to something better(Not the Pro Fogs though) to finish it off. Regardless Best dealer Mod I have seen and should def drive business.
