get your attorney on it....if they did not notify you in time to pick it up, didn’t complete agreed upon defected and doctored up paperwork, it is obvious they were working against the 30 days clock....

Well, toyota service called me to come get the truck at 430 pm. I was able to get a ride and be there by 5pm. Guess what? My fluorescent paint marked insulation under the passengers feet toward glove box was not replaced. I left the truck and the manager and service advisor stunned when I very nicely told them I won't pick up the truck till all of it is replaced. Day 29

well....i guess the clock is now still running towards 30 days.....hahahaha......no way in hell they can replace in a day.....do not take truck back and demand rental car.....call Tina back and let her know....boy, i wish i could have seen their face when you showed them the padding.....what did they say.......what did the work order say.....did it say they replaced the carpet padding?.....also, they need to do the tint, right?

Tint was done today however they stopped the clock last Thursday and said tint and clips were not going to cause the truck to be out of service .
Anyways they said the order didn't cover the padding under the carpet as it's not carpet padding . Idk , lots of bogus excuses. They are probably still scratching their heads . Told them the markings were done In front of the body shop manager .
In my invalid opinion tomorrow is day 30. Let's see what happens when I speak with cuatomer service Tina tomorrow .

didn’t you say earlier that Tina had said they were to change padding?..Is so, the truck was not ready on last Thursday....not to mention the safety clips .....and then the tint....safety clips is an issue because of stuck gas pedals......your attorney should have a field day with this blatant attempt to suborn the truth

    For the win! Nice work.

You are dealing with a sleazy dealer.

Good luck! You attorney should have no problem sealing this one up for you.

I certainly wish this was a bad dream.
Has anyone that has followed this been swayed from buying a new toyota?

In all honesty, I still wish my Wife got a T4R instead of a Forester. Every manufacturer, whether making one offs or a hundred per day, will have quality problems. It sucks that you had one. That isn't the problem here.

The way your dealer handled it is the problem. I would avoid your dealer at all costs in the future.

There are clips in the wiring harness for the mirror that can be undone so you dont have to dangle it like that. Wonder if the body shop knows that...

I'd still buy another Toyota, but not at your dealer. Your dealer sounds like every stereotypically bad dealer rolled into one.

Still waiting on a call back from customer service Tina at corporate .
I'm about at my limit and don't want to play this game much longer . Thinking about trying to trade for a F150 and be done.
This debacle just showed up on car fax and may show more later and it may be best to ditch it before it does.

That Carfax report may be a good way to claim devaluation. Your car has been devalued through a manufacturer defect, and you should be entitled to a new one.

Yeah they had agreed to replace carpet and padding but apparently they don't think this particular padding is included even though it's in the passenger floor board and up the exact firewall that was leaking. It's really just a very large load of horse excrement. Toyota just like any other business can fail miserably in the customer service department and this is a prime example of just that.
There are 3 seperate grievance organizations involved. One is in house legal , another is tennessee dept of commerce and ncdsusa.org.
I'll try to wait out their findings but at this point not got my hopes up.

Do you have it in writing that they were going to replace that specific padding? That is what you really need.
