FYI. I am not having as much luck as you did. My first visit to the best place here and didn't work real well but they did what I asked but it still wasn't good so I went back and spent again to take it back to the way it was with couple other minor adjustments and im still not right. Im $400 plus in the seats and about same place as when I started. Im going to give it another week on this last one from yesterday and I expect it wont be good still then try again one last trip to hope to get the outcome you have gotten!!

and the older you get the harder it is to drive long distances, I am good for 2 hours max then have to stop every hour after that...lol, but I just put some foam under my butt and it helps but not 100%

    secret stuff.
My 5th Gen 4Runner seats suck too. The seats in my 09' Taco Trd Sport were light years more comfy. For the 4Runner, I ended up killing two birds with one stone- ventilated seat covers from Amazon. Felt more comfy and no more Softex back and nut sweat.

Install some Clazzio seat covers. Good looks and extra padding.

Doesn't any body test drive a Tacoma before they buy it. Seems to me if they did they would realize right away that the seat doesn't suit them!

Guess I'm missing something. "Not enough padding so my knees hurt"???

I’m sitting here thinking the same thing. Uncomfortable seating, weird shift pattern. You’d figure 30-40k investment you would try and test drive it at least.

It’s like they walked into the dealer and got hypnotized by the sales guy when they bought the truck.

Actually I did get hypnotized, the first time I seen my truck and I'm still that way.

I had the same complaint. The seats are pretty hard. I have Carhartt seat covers which have no padding, either. I just got a sheet of memory foam and cut a piece to fit and stuffed it under the seat cover. Night and day difference.

I have wetokole covers and the padding makes a big difference.
How is it your knees hurt from the seat? The angle of the leg or from the back contact on the seat ?

No issues here now, quite nice.
You should put covers on anyway to prevent wear on edge of seat when sliding down and out.
