So I have 108 miles on my new SR 4x4 Taco purchased 2 days ago, couldn't bear looking at the steel rims, had them ordered before even made the purchase.

So I have 2200 dollars left to spend on upgrades, 4x4 will be for mainly beach driving, and will purchase a tow strap and air compressor tomorrow.

So how do I spend the last bit of cash - running boards, tires, shocks, bull bar, bed cover, - what are the wise choices ????

Nice, just drive it like that for awhile.

Why would you even get running boards or bull bar? They just damage your truck more.

Running boards because my daughter and girlfriend needs them for stepping up into the truck - especially on beach sand.

Gonna give the stock sneakers a go this winter and see how they do...if they really suck, then new tires it is otherwise gonna get my $$$ out of them.

Not big enough spaced enough lugs. The jam with mud and snow pretty quick. Some people like them. To me the tire size also looks too small.

Congrats on your Tacoma & DEF tires brother! Recommend white lettered ones to go with your new truck! My old MT LT265/70's R16's were great on dirt roads, mud and deep snow. Held tight on rain slick roads too.

Buy some from Rough Country. Use Affirm . Make some payments and don't eat into your 2200 just yet. And buy a bed mat.

I picked up a Tacoma bed mat after I bought the truck at a discount and it was well worth it. Keeps products from sliding around all over the place and smashing into the bed sides. The Tacoma all weather mats are far better than the cloth, my TRD mats are stored away.

A little something every chance we get.
I gave two likes for tires, and running boards. Got a family? Smaller people love getting a help up and in. Tires, I went to the beach with my three previous Tacos and never had a problem. But, depends on your sand. If the beach is your favorite place - go for a bed cover to keep all the blown sand out. I have a TruxPort roll up, but any will serve. ENJOY, and Welcome aboard.
