So the multifunction switch had something wrong with it and they are ordering a new one.

Good to hear it is solved, did they give you a rental or just say pray for no rain until it comes in?

    Update:
They replaced the multifunction switch and the wipers still didn’t work. They believe the problem was a poor Karr Alarm installation by the dealership I bought it from. They are now ordering another part and offered us a loaner.

I am livid. The truck has 100 miles on it and it’s already in for repairs, due to a crap car alarm that was drilled into my dash.

Yeah of course. I love my truck so far and Toyota has done no wrong. I’m just pissed at my poor luck lol.

The dealer I purchased the truck from offered to compensate by getting me some accessories. What should I ask for?

I would second the bed mat. Great addition.

Nor should you, or have to.

HAving some weird issue off the lot isn't uncommon. Were there any dealer added items?

I should have read more, dealer added alarm...
Yeah, I wouldn't ever buy a truck that the dealer added to. These things always happen on modded trucks at the dealer.

Every car in San Diego gets a dealer added alarm unfortunately.

There's a dealer near me that does that. I refuse to buy there because of it. Hope they fix it for you, sounds like they are trying to make it right.

In addition to the factory alarm? Sounds like a money grab to me.
Bedmat is a good accessory to have.

Thanks guys. Yeah they install Karr Alarms in everything for added security and give you the option to buy it. What’s dumb is if you don’t buy it they still leave it wired to your truck and just blank it off. And they drill it into your damn dash too. So irritating.

OP - I'd be pissed to! Never had a car alarm, never want a car alarm - reason #1,286. Seriously, most folks just leave the keys in the ignition where I live.

Growing up in New Hampshire I wondered why house doors even had locks since its not like we had the key for it anyway!

So true, I don't think I have seen a key to my house.
