Do you have a Nav Box in your 2020 Tacoma HU? If so, were you able to use the same o.e. harness from the Sienna to connect the Nav to HU? I saw a 2020 Tacoma part #86140-04110 (no HD stamped in the front) and it looks like the same harness is not compatible. Do you remember whats your part #?

Looks like No HD tuner and 7” screen.

So I have been looking for a USA spec non-JBL Nav 2020 headunit (86140-04200) for several months and all the wreckers, eBay, etc want $1,000+ for the headunit alone. So I am considering the Sienna 86140-08110 (https://www.opuradio.com/products/p...tooth-phone-traffic-weather-cd-usb-am-fm-1623) with the 86840-06012 Nav box (https://www.opuradio.com/panasonic-...0-gs-car-radio-usa-canada-map-data_p1776.html) and I'll have AHH make the conversion cable. Does anyone have this setup and have any issues?

Keep your eye out, I got one for $500

I tried both of those in my 2019 and they seemed pretty comparable… right down to the same issues with tracking historical mileage and the theme colors not lining up quite right, ha ha. The Tacoma unit has a slightly larger screen was about the only obvious difference as far as I could tell.

The 2020 Tacoma HU you’ve attached a photo of doesn’t have integrated nav (and won’t support it, you need a different hu)

The units that have integrated nav have a separate nav box. The cable is not the same from entune 2.0 to entune 3.0, but I think it’s the same harness for all entune 3.0 units, so you can probably get a donor from quit a few different vehicles… rav4, sienna, etc

So you’re saying the 2020 hu won’t work even with a separate NAV box and right harness?

It will if it supports it. I don’t think that one does. You can tell from the connectors. When they do support it, it looks more like the sienna on the back. I need to pull my hu later to swap a wire, will try to grab a pic if I remember.

Sometimes sellers will sell head units advertising them as “with navigation” but what they mean is the app based scout gps, not the integrated nav.

I have a thread somewhere here that describes the different kinds of head units, but basically you have the base, plus, and premium, and only the premium units support true integrated nav.

I read that post somewhere and saw that specific part #’s. I saw the back of 86140-04230 and it’s identical with -04110.

Be smart save money get a joying head unit like the rest of us love my android 10 and 9 inch display looks oem. Buy stuff on +Amazon/ it can do that, watch youtube driving it can do that, want facebook it can do that, and anything you can do on a android phone you can do that. So i was never happy with any of the phone holders out there plus hate my phone in my field of view . I did some digging on here , found this hu and its been so nice to just put my phone away and have everything on my hu and more . When i was in moab Gaia gps worked awesome on the hu. Im positive you can get onyx on it also. You can check emails , access to your google drive or google photos , i could go on and on. Like I said earlier in my post " what ever your android can do the joying head unit will do , you have access to google playstore".

Are you able to change the audio source from the display in the cluster?
I got a 86140-04230 it doesn't has navigation so it doesn't shows the compass, but it doesn't shows the available sources as well as the current song being played. I don't know if it has something to do with the HU, the wiring or something else.

I just installed mine and i think i have a similar issue with the screen not showing the values only the graph. The units in the display are MPG but i would prefer km/L.
Maybe there could be something in the service menu.
I tried swapping a couple of cables (CNH1 and CNL1) but nothing changed. I was still able to control the volume from the steering wheel controls.

Yes, audio changing and cluster display are the same as with the old headunit. Should work for you too

Just curious, where did you get this? Do you have a pic of the connectors in the back of this HU?

Hi, i have the same radio as you, I bought it from a friend, with the AHH harness, will everything work "plug and play"? I have read that it has to be reprogrammed with the vehicle's vin, but I see that some buy it online and they don't mention that

I asked the same question some time ago, and I was told that it didn't require to do anything to the head unit, it should work right away.
I got the AHH harness and installed mine and there is some things not working (can't change the units on the ECO screen and it doesn't show the AVG speed), I think that is due the taco being a 2017 and it doesn't has some of the features the head unit came with.
It could maybe require to replace the ECU or remap the CAN to get some things to show on the cluster display.

The audio (AM, FM, Aux, bluetooth, AA & CarPlay) works. The steering wheel controls works. The mic works but i haven't checked how it sounds on the other end.
Some people said everything works for them, YMMV.

hello, Gilberto, thanks for the answer. If I have read that there are problems since there are radios from Canada and they are installed in TACOMAS from the USA or vice versa. I am in Mexico, my tacoma is Mexican, and the radio that I buy is also from a Mexican tacoma, I think that I will not have problems with navigation or units (KM / HR, degrees Celsius).

Did the AHH harness work correctly for you? and how much did it cost you?

    Thanks in advance

Yes it will work 95%. Make sure you tell AHH that you have a navigation so they send that harness too. At first my nav didn't work cause I needed an extra harness but now it is good. Only things that don't work is the ECO screen that Gilberto mentioned and I cant get any apps (so the apps button is useless) because for the apps to work, you need to make an account that is linked to a vin number and to make that work you need a vin number for a 2020 Tacoma.
