Which posted spec do you use for the ubolts? Also since the rear shock has came up as wrong from the 16 service manual- what do you use (or is it all feel for you)?

    Usually 55-60ftlbs

But what I do is blast them hard with the impact, back off and hit again.

I believe after the TSB springs toyota was hesitant to over torque ubolts so they always feel a lot looser than the earlier years of 2nd gens.

Ideally I retorque after a test drive, but that doesn't always happen.

I've never seen one come loose unless it was installed incorrectly.

This is old news, as @ JaCado stated. I torqued mine to 52lbs at first 5k PM. It should be checked at first 5k PM interval and at very 5k thereafter.

However, I don't always do that, but...

And PLEASE, PLEASE...Don't start with the ATF being low from the factory again too!

After vigorously scrolling through the tis manual torque specs for 2016 Tacoma. Every single front and rear suspension torque spec matches between 2nd gen and 3rd gen. Except the rear shock x rear axle torque. I'm baffled why on the 3rd gen that would be lowered. It's the same exact design. I'm going to guess it's a misprint.

By the way the 2016 tis also states "4wd and pre-runner."
