It sounds way better plugged in. I bought a 3pack of right angled 3 inch usb cables from Amazon, typically only use on longer trips and I’m like damn, I don’t know why I don’t plug it in more often

Guys, along this topic, im looking to replace my factory deck with like the Pioneer WT7600? It has wireless AppleCarplay, but im curious if swapping out the factory stereo will make me LOSE the stock Toyota command start and Toyota connect features on my phone via their app.

It takes a bit to start up, but the delays aren’t much different than tethered operation of CarPlay. The start up is about 5-10 seconds I would say going through boot up and Bluetooth sync.

It doesn’t have to be, I velcro in to the top of the cubby below the hookup. It’s not that noticeable and you don’t have a cable laying all over. I almost want to hide it in the dash now, the rare random failure to connect I have had can be solved by turning off the truck and restarting.

Same, even with the JBL the sound quality difference is negligible with the stock speakers between Bluetooth and aux/carplay to me, though it does seem like louder via bluetooth.

My 2020 Toyota had wireless CarPlay. Of course it’s a Supra... (ducks incoming BMW comments)

The MSRP for a fully loaded TRD OR or Sport with accessories/etc. is about $46k, guessing/hoping OP didn't pay that much. My 2020 sticker was $44.8k, paid $39k, but yes they are getting more and more expensive each year, crazy demand and people willing to pay isn't helping, but at least resale is great.

Yep, when I was thinking about a LR Pro and started the deal paperwork back in October, they were offering me $38k for my trade, paid $39k in Feb. Craziness.

I'm hoping he didn't pay that much, but yes a fully loaded TRD Sport or OR MSRPs at that now.

    What is wrong with yours?

I had issues with mine, but got mine before they started doing OTA updates. It never worked before that, once they started doing OTA updates it’s been pretty much flawless.

The 3 year lease residual for this truck is 74% which is insane but it’s been like that for 10+ years. I’ve had equity in my last 2! Best value holding vehicle in any brand/model I’ve ever seen in my 32 years in the auto business
