New 2021 Taco and 2nd Keyfob

Hi Everyone,

For those that have purchased a new Tacoma, did you only get 1 key fob from the dealership? I only received one fob but did receive a 2nd key with no remote functions. According to the key paperwork, Toyota will be contacting me to receive my 2nd key fob at no charge since they apparently only give the dealerships one key fob and a non-key fob key. For those that this post pertains too, how long did it take for you to receive your 2nd key fob?

Been discussed on this forum. You might try searching for it. It's due to the shortage of chips. Thankfully I got 2 fobs with my '21 TRD.

 

Chip shortage. you'll receive another key within the next year or two.
