looking through their site, looks like they do a lot of different services, they have a rust preventative that needs to be sprayed on every 6-18 months, so similar to WW/FF. probably costs a pretty penny for the other coatings they have. also not quite clear where they operate, looks more like large scale fleet maintenance type service?

Coming soon: Compact powered sub install Future mods planned: bigger tires (265/75/16) BILLSTIEN 5100 lift
I looked at the site too and they seem like they do a lot of services. Fleet and military stuff even mobile service. One page said they operate in Guam on a DOD contract but the 732 area code is in New Jersey. Not sure about where they work.

From the photos the rust proofing service looks similar to what Krown service is supposed to be.

The idea is that petroleum products deteriorate rubber over time. So the krown that creeps all around your truck also comes into contact with some of your rubber trim. The oil gets sprayed everywhere including inside the doors, whose factory drain holes on the bottom of the door just so happen to drain near where the rubber trim passes by. Over time the krown oil drips through the drains, and gets into the door rubber. People report that the rubber sags and or softens up and deteriorates.

The same goes for places like your hood (the rubber between it at the grille), door handle gaskets, etc...

So what people do is take a rag with some rubbing alcohol, make a quick pass around your door's rubber seals, the rubber at the front of the engine bay here the hood meets the grille, weatherstripping around frame. It should dry almost instantly. That takes off all the petroleum products incl your hand grease.

Then take a rag with some silicone spray, or really any non-petroleum based lubricant, soak a rag, and then just make a quick pass around all those same rubber trim places. The rubber will take on a slight sheen. I aim to do it once a year but I think even less frequently and you're good.

I always do it myself but I’m curious on the cost? What does it cost when you take it in?

Anyone know a good shop that'll spray near Central NJ (for a reasonable price?) Picking up my Tacoma on saturday and want to make sure this winter doesn't do the same thing as it did to my'06 4runner.

So, I just scheduled an appointment for undercoating with Fluid Film. I was quoted at 250$. Is this a good price? I was trying to schedule a meet with some of the guys on TW in the summer but never received an answer and it’s getting too cold now to do it myself.

The place near me has packages from 100 to 500 depending on what the customer wants. They recommended the 300 package to start then 100 per year after for reapplication.

I intend on getting my coated after I install my sliders and stuff

I use Krown rustproofing yearly. My 11 year old CRV looked great until it got written off in an accident. Got more insurance money because of the condition. I refused the first amount they offered me, because of it.

OC, huh? You must be right on the beach then. The marine layers are what causes this

it’s in monroeville pa. It’s called steel city undercoating I believe. They have a proprietary fluid film you can’t just buy.

1st, 30k plus, plus for a vehicle then add 5k plus in accessories... I'll pay $150.00 every year or even every two years for protection. 2nd my experience with fluid film and I'll bet is is the same with other like products in which you Will, get seepage beyond the first week and especially, on hot sunny days which is another inconvenience I'm willing to deal with.
