Guess I'm looking for input regarding this new truck I got. It has 10k miles, I've done very little to it (RCA sliders) and have gone off road all of twice and not particularly enthusiastically mind you. So many things have gone wrong already:
    1. Manual transmission 6th gear blocker ring destroyed = warranty new transmission.
    2. Both front cab mounts destroyed and replaced.
    3. Now I'm being told the front shock strut needs to be replaced due to a very annoying squealing noise going over speed bumps at 15-20mph.
    4. Bunch of small stuff like door support struts and the like.
Is this normal? I was hoping the Toyota reliability thing was still in effect but this truck has spent more time in the shop than on the road at this point. At the very least I'm getting my moneys worth out of warranty repairs.

Is there any way to convince a dealer to do a very thorough inspection to find other failure points? The cab mounts were found while investigating the squeaking.

The trans was just a mechanical failure...it happens and sounds like Toyota took care of it.

The core support mount bushings are a known weak point and can cause an annoying squeaks.

The Fox Pro coilovers are hit and miss from what people say on these forums but I'm not sure how they would squeal unless a rock got stuck in the shaft seal and is rubbing? They are rebuildable too.

The dealer will most likely not spend a whole lot of free time looking over your truck.
