New 2023 Tacoma head unit?????

Just got my new 2023 TRD sport. Very disappointed with the Res. of the picture quality of the 8" screen. Heck my old 2015 Tacoma had better quality. Am I wrong, are there after market replacements if I want to swap it out down the road?

 

There are plenty of after market replacements out there. But you might lose some of the settings that are in the OEM head unit.

 

did you look at the screen before you paid for the truck?

 

i replaced the unit in my 2023 with a dasaita unit. much better

 

Lot of people have Swapped to the Pioneer 6600NEX. Most OEM features can be retained with the Maestro RR2.

Tacoma (and most Toyota) infotainment systems are not up to par with other manufacturers. They aren’t flashy or on the cutting edge. They are pretty basic, industrial, and functional. That includes a lower resolution screen. Should it be better? Yes. But it is what it is.
