Hey all, I have some questions. I just left the dealer and locked in a '22 TRD Off Road 4 door 5' Magnetic Grey

    List price was 42.5
    -Premium Audi/Navi
    -LED's & Fogs
    -Tech Pack
    -All weather floor and door
    -Blackout
    -Paint Protection (Montana truck)
    -Tie Downs
    -Remote Start

The only thing I was not able to secure was leather. Not a deal breaker, but I sure would have loved it at 42.5

    Extra's
    -IronMan Stage 2 3" lift
    -5.29 Gears
    -Bed Cover (3 fold)
-Matching tint on fronts (25%?) and windshield visor strip
    -Predator Steps
-Lightbar (front bumper under the grille)
    -Underbody spray
-Actual premium audio (sound dampening, new speakers, amp and sub)

Kind of amazing how the "premium" audio is labeled as such. It's just 6 basic speakers, no amp, nothing special. That's not premium at all lol. But I got the package because I do want the navi and all that good stuff so I don't have to use my phone.

I will update the post with the OTD price once I negotiate some more and it's finalized. Right now it's just reserved for me and the add on's won't be put on until I sign. I truly wanted a TRD PRO, but that's one helluva waiting list. I'd rather get out of my Subaru now and the TRD Off Road allows me some wiggle room to mod.

Thanks for the help everyone, and glad to be here (and out of my Subaru - soon).

Not sure what tires and rims I am going with. Will definitely be 3 peak rate, not KO2's, and 17's. All I know is 285/70R17. Beef.

    *EDIT
Updated post with final results(add-on's) and removed questions I no longer need answered.

Did they tell you which components exactly were included in the 3" Ironman lift?

Just get a Bed Mat instead of bothering with any Spray In stuff

Would be the level 2. I am not sure if it's the foam cell or nitro. Do you know the difference? I'd like to be able to specify to them what I want.

So, it's spray on? It looks decent either way. I am asking all these questions because they had exactly ZERO tacoma's to look at and I want to make sure when it gets there I get what I want. I just don't want some cheap drop in liner. If the quality of the one that comes with it is good, I am fine with it. I do have the tonneau cover, which is something I've never had on a truck before. My previous F150 before the Subaru I have now was a 2006 and it was a drop in plastic POS. Pretty sure I'll be okay with what's included and the tonneau cover.

I'm not 100% on '22s but shouldn't the tech package have color keyed bumpers?

There is no "liner" at all, the bed itself is composite material, throw a Bed Mat in and call it a day.

It does say this, but specifies a rear chrome bumper. Everything else including the mirrors and door handles is color keyed. Black overfenders.

The entire bed is a composite plasticky feel. A spray in bedliner isn't a wise choice imo. Get the rubber bed mat and you will be fine. I'd check what the lift is and what the paint protection is. A lot of those paint protection add ons are a gimmick.

Take a look into a bed rug. Depending of course what you use your truck for.

This is why I chose the tonneau. I think it'll be fine with a rubber mat. The paint protection is a film for the mirrors, bumper, and hood. I live in Montana, it's worth it. I had it done on my Subaru too, but I had to have it done by a 3rd party.

ppf or a spray on? PPF could be worth it. I wouldn't pay for a spray on. A lot of the aftermarket ppf is much better than the factory.

My understanding is the blind spot monitoring won't work around metal, so tech package has to have plastic bumpers

Very odd. In the build a tacoma section under the '22's it does show a chrome rear bumper for the model I have with the features I have (it's a pretty generic pic tho) and does not have a "chrome" outlined grille. Maybe the chrome (it's not chrome, lets just call it shiny) part on the grille is the toyota logo? Either way, no biggie. They are coming off eventually ;) It's just odd if it does come with one and that's after picking the black out pack. It should swap to a color keyed version. I'd like to say the dealer can clarify, and I'll ask, but I don't expect a 100% certain answer lol. I expect dealer talk.

Also wondering about regearing. If they will do it, I'll get it done.

Alright, I made some changes today.

Went with the TRD kit instead of the Ironman so roughly 2" lift instead of 3" and I am going to stick with 265/75R16's through the winter. I'm just going to get studded snows on stock rims and then I'll get a rim/tire combo of my choosing as soon as the ice clears. I've had lifts on everything I've owned, bigger rims and tires. I think this time I just need to keep it simple. Was pretty easy to come back home and start looking how nice the 285's look but from my experience, adding in the extra weight just isn't worth it and it's noticeable when driving. I am not going to mess with a re-gear. Maybe 4 or 5 years down the road that will be a possibility. Pretty sure the TRD setup is just a leveling style kit, but I know it's not a puck kit so that's good. No strut pucks. Ever. 265's are fine for me and so is the 2" kit.

But, I did add the lightbar, and I did add a new audio package. I missed that opportunity on my Subaru and while I am not that much of an audiophile, when I do decide to jam, I want it all. So new speakers all around, sound dampening, amp and sub. Not sure on the details, don't really care that much. It sounds nice. I also got them to include the underbody spray. Again, Montana truck. Most likely I will get under after the first winter and cover anything I feel was missed with a rattle can, but not this winter.

I updated the original post to avoid confusion.

I guess the only thing I need to prepare for is how to wire my dashcam. Maybe I can pawn it off on the dealer while they are doing my audio upgrade ;)
