So I finally bought and installed a 3" OME lift kit from toytec. I'm looking to replace my rims but don't know if I should get 17X8.5 or 18X9. Also do I need wheel spacers? Please leave a tire size recommendation with your opinion of tires. Here is a link of the rim I want: http://www.wheelsbymbmotoring.com/product.php?wheel=Chaos

And here are some pics of the new lift:[IMG]

Nice looking truck! I vote stay with 17's and buy some 285's. $1,600 is not bad at all. Did you get the Dakar leafs?

No That would've jacked it up another $300 or so. I did the lift mainly for looks. the performance is a bonus especially now that I've actually found some places to take my truck off road.

I don't know the metric conversion for the lug spacing (you want TRD Sport Alloy Wheels: 17x7.5, +30 mm offset, 5.5" backspacing, 6x5.5" bolt pattern, 108 mm hub bore). But the 17 x 8.5s are only 5 lug.

I'm really interested in how this turns out when you're done. I subscribed to this thread to see. Would you please post pics in here when you are done with the addition of wheels/tires?

I have 265/70R17s and they're plenty for me. I only OR maybe 1-2/yr and those wider 285s will kill what little MPG I have. And with the -12 offset on my wheels, the stance is aggro enough.

i agree with this. as far as tires BFGoodrich has a good all terrain tire. I have goodyear wranglers on mine and I love them. They are beefy but still do great on and off road and are quiet. Not so good when the roads are wet though.

Looks good! I would keep the stock wheels though. I've always liked the sport wheels.

I think I've seen your truck around town. I work in Novato by Moylan's. I've got a white DCLB SR5 lifted with an ARB.
