The 2017 price increase on the TRD OR AC is $360.00 in my area(NYMetro). I have been offered between $2600-2700 off MSRP on the truck I'm interested in buying. I just haven't pulled the trigger yet, I think in another month I can get a better deal.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Look at the bright side: you'll get to make some of the first 2017 hate threads and encourage people to only buy the 2018's 'cause the testicle warmer and feet massager don't work quite as expected.

Interesting. I just pre ordered a 2017 OR with no deposit down until they place the order which they claim will be in a couple of weeks. I am surprised they are giving discounts on MSRP I live in the Maryland area I will inquiry about this before they place my order. Thanks

    this ^

$500 over invoice is better than some of the last Isuzu Rodeo fleet deals... there's always more to the story.

(please let me know when this thread's buying guide book is published...)

    nothing...

but, just for the sake of the discussion --- did a dealer take gross from a trade, make an insurance sale, F&I add-ons deal, APR reserve costs, high ratio finance, Admin Fees etc...

When folks say they get tacos (here anyway) at invoice or near, that's not always the total drive away cost. its just semantics but its material info for all to consider.

... for another reason if it were that simple; get a few buds to poole their money and pre-order 10 trucks and resell them to dealers who want them at invoice + $500 type of transactions. if its invoice + $500 for one truck, whats the deal for 10; $500 under invoice or more?

jus sayin; but i'm also a bit drunk right now and its not even 5 where i am.

He's right. My old man was in the car business for 3 decades from used car sales to owner of a ford franchise. It's all a shell moving game. So you never really know too well what a dealer has sunk into a vehicle. But the invoice pricing lists make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside, don't they? One thing is for sure, used car sales is where the dealers really stick it in the buyers' shorts

Got it. My truck is not the typical "car deal" in the respect that I'm not just researching local dealers and walking in hoping for the best deal. I have no trade and there are no additional add-ons from F&I. The reason I'm getting this number is simply because I know someone at the particular dealer who is letting me purchase at their cost.

My favorite is when people claim they got 1000-1500 under invoice. I would assume they are talking about MSRP and not Dealer invoice. I work at a dealer and even I can't get under dealer invoice. I pay $100 over. Unless there are major incentives like what GM gives away but that's EMP pricing not dealer invoice. So I'll assume most are talking about MRSP aka sticker price. But yes, dealers have multiple avenues they make money from. Things like your trade, finance, extended warranties, security packages (window etching, theft programs) wheel and tire damage packages, paint/interior protection packages, accessories. The list can go on and on.

In the end it's not about the deal you got. It's about the deal you think you got
