Has anyone done the mod with a shell on, so run one set of wires to the cab for unlocking both the gate and the shell door (two pop lock kits)? Wondering if I can just use one wire run and control both pop n locks...

The PNP harness is in the left side of photo which is what she is selling. You would need to buy the kit online like Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Pop-Lock-PL8535-Tailgate-Toyota/dp/B00LST3022

You would essentially wire the kit per the instructions but using her harness simply plug n play into factory connection at passenger door kick panel and avoid the need to splice/tap into factory harness.

I am sure that can be done. You just need to up the wire. Like instead off 20/22 you would want to make sure to do 18 all the way around I would assume. That’s what I would do if it were me

Thanks, I'll have to do that. I'm not going to do it for a little while, but eventually once the snow melts around here I do plan on it! Also gotta buy a couple poplocks for each application.

The Full Kit is all you would need as it comes with the PNP Harness, the 14-15ft Wire Harness to go from the Tailgate to the Cab, and the Actuator for the Tailgate Pop-N-Lock. All you have to do is Install the Kit for $65

I'm interested in a full kit as well. So for $65 you get everything you need to tap into that harness on the passenger side floor and you just run the wire back to the tailgate and put the pop n lock in the tailgate and hook it up and that's it?

I can do that. When it gets closer to shipping I’ll let you know about additional fees to Canada ;)

Curious where you ran the wires to the back of the truck and also did you run these wires thru the same harness as the backup camera wires?

In the full kit picture, you can see the wire harness I include that comes in its own wire loom.

    0EEA3A6A-BC17-4EE1-A5DA-0883BCA847DC.jpg

I personally ran my wiring along side the drivers side next to the rest of all the othe wires that go from the front of the truck to the back. In the front, I went into the cab through the firewall. However, you have to remember when I first did mine, Wiring was fresh to me and not a lot of people were doing this mod at all. I was one of the first or there weren’t many if any writeups at that time to follow. We tapped into the Drivers side under the side door panel. I hated it, but it worked. When I first saw this, I had to do it right away. It was a no brainer. So I just untapped and ran my wiring under the carpet in front to the passenger side and connected it to the PNP Harness. If I was doing my install fresh today, I would route the wiring to the passenger side and go in through the passenger side firewall bc it is located right there by the kick panel. As for the rear of the truck, I do not have my spare tire mounted under my bed of my truck, but even when I did, I still ran my wire loom through that opening and then into the same opening that the Reverse Camera goes through in the tailgate. I ended my wire loom right there so that my wires could fit through the small opening in that black grommet and nothing would be altered. It looks clean to me and is out of the way. Hope this helps!

When I complete this current batch I will open up the next and run it like I did this one for a certain amount of time before I close it. At that time I will take all payments and then I will place the order.

Sounds pretry easy! Do you need to get power or you just hook up the harness on the passenger side kick panel and run it back?
