Chapman Ford, PA, cheapest Lightning is $55,380 before any federal/state tax credits. I mention Chapman because they are well known. Local dealer, Monaco Ford, CT, has a Lightning for $53,190. Yeah, $45K or very close is possible after tax credits.

Also before the usual dealer added fees, and taxes and title fees.

Are we all in agreement here to casually avoid mentioning the difference in tires they had in this race? Its not like they're important, right? /s

as is the surprise you get when you go to look at the vehicle and beside the oem MSRP sticker you see a Dealer Add On sticker with additional items added to jack up the price.

I don't waste my time going to a dealer for pricing and a runaround. OTD price by email. YMMV, good luck.

Oh I’m set, my 2019 SR Access cab is my retirement truck and got it new for $23,700, $24.5k OTD with a bed extender included. Since added keyless entry, Fog lights, interior LEDs and a Lomax Pro tonneau cover. Best value around on a Tacoma imho.
I do look at the latest Tacos prices when I take it in for routine service and glad I bought when I did.

Not really a fair test given turbo vs. NA and the significant height about sea level. Seems like a big advantage for the forced induction engine.

Sea level the turbo 4 will still pull away from the slow 6.

I want to see top speed, truck king mentioned the turbo gets a bit weezy on top.

Cause you know we buy these things to race… :p

TFL's drag races are so cringe. "Here, let's drag race a base Honda Civic and a Hummer EV because we happen to have both in the press fleet today".
