Just an update on mine, the tech test drove it and confirmed the issue. They are changing parts based off the TSB for the SR models (mine is a 2019 TRD OR). Also, there is a TSB for the TSS, they are replacing this as well. They said I should get my truck back by Wednesday/Thursday. I'll provide another update then.

Well if they confirmed there’s indeed a problem that’s a start. Mine is still perfect but I don’t drive as much as others here do, Jimmy stated that
His truck is better after replacing axles etc, but still not right. I’m having reservations about mine but only time and miles will tell.
This has to be hurting their sales until they get this problem addressed and hopefully soon.
Good luck and keep us informed!

Curious on the outcome. My dealer also agrees, there is problem, however TSB excludes TRD models. They opened a case with Toyo corporate and will get back when CORP is involved.

    Cheers!

Rear drums probably not mounted right from factory. It took my dealership a while to figure it out but that’s what mine sounded and felt like.

2016 TRD here with almost 50k on it. Went in at 47K for oil, brakes looked bad and dealer said rear drums were warped. Of course not covered under certified warranty.. although they helped me out with pricing, replaced all brakes. Felt better but still has the shutter between about 20mph to 10mph. Been driving it for a year and a half, its sort of normal to me now. Interested to see what others say. I have Icon stage 5 and the ECGS bearing installed. Everything else is stock.

Prior to this I did have it in for this shutter problem and dealer said it felt completely normal.

Followup on my 2019 SR5 being in the shop yesterday.
According to the service advisor the tech checked the truck per the tsb and everything was within specs.
    Turned the drums.
It shudder seems to be gone for now.
Time will tell if this is a short term fix or not.

That paper-like gasket between the drum and flange needs to be cleaned up and replaced or it will not allow the drum to sit flush. Ask me how I know.

All of which they will deny if ever asked about it by another owner.

Yeah I've been playing the "we can't replicate the issue" since about 5k, at 52k now and finally have it on paper that there is an issue. Feels like a goddam washboard.

I will probably drive it into the ground. After this, the diff howl, hood glue, some factory tailgate issues, headlights pitting inside the housings, fuel pump chirp, and just finding an oil leak (they dyed, have to drive some miles before they track it), window trim popping out, rattling a-pillar, rattling steering wheel cover, and an electrical gremlin thats causing my headlights/ac blower to dim/lose power when I put it in neutral. I've started casually looking at lemon laws in my state.

I plan on calling Toyota Corp and really pushing them to extend my warranty as a courtesy.

What? You didn't get the buzzing engine vibration between 1800-2200rpm?
