I could give you several more examples of bad gm trucks. I work for the DOD and we use them alot. But in the end it's your decision. I'll stay with Toyota, good luck.

Yea none of them are built like my 1990 Silverado 1500. Its at 200k and runs better than my 2019 Taco.

I had a 2006 duramax and absolutely loved that thing. 07.5 and newer, no thanks.

Those 06s with Duramax Allison combo were the last of a breed I believe..
Keep us posted on the leaf pack please, also, have the TSB number for that one?

I started feeling a slight brake-rotor wobble @ ~9K miles on my 2018 SR. It's not too bad, so I've been tolerating it a bit.

I didn't get the TSB number but will def do so. It was hard enough getting basic info out of these folks.

Dealer said they will resolve the brakes but have no resolution for the transmission.

Just searched this topic because my bn 4x4 SR5 (3100 miles) just started doing the same thing. Was wondering if it is a "normal" feel for this type of truck (I'm a 4x4 newbie) or if there could possibly be a brake or alignment issue.

I had the dealer look at mine today. The tech said he didn’t feel it.

    Update as of this morning.

My service guys drove the truck and determined the vibration was from the rear axle/brakes. They then took measurements of the rear brakes, etc. to confirm what was bad. I was told it’ll probably be next week but they’re definitely replacing axle shafts and brakes.

I’ll show the actual work order once I have it.

ETA: My service Manager said he’s reporting around 30 customers reporting transmission issues mike mine, but they haven’t found a fix for it yet.

I have vibration when braking as well, but my truck is lifted so i already know dealer wont do diddly. They will blame my lift or tell me to go stock. Lame...

UPDATE: after calling Toyota I was immediately assigned a case manager who made an apt at the dealer.

After driving a new(er) 2019 TRD OR we determined it had the same vibration but a lower magnitude and st slightly different mph range. They called in a mobile engineer/tech who checked out the truck and gave the go ahead for NEW AXLES/DRUMS/etc.

Parts get in Wednesday, should be picking her up Friday. Until then they have me in a 2019 Tundra Crewmax TSS. It’s a fucking monster. While nice, the whole thing feels like driving a big suv and that 11-15mpg is a HUGE difference from the “crappy” 17-21 i typically get in the taco.

YALL CALL TOYOTA. They will fix or attempt to fix it, i think the tide is turning and they’re finally recognizing this.

Interested in your follow up after they do the repair, and your thoughts. My dealer replaced the axles but unfortunately it made no difference.

Unfortunately, mine did the drum replace, refused to look at axle or leafs.
Now I have opened my 2nd case with Toyota Corp., Wait, wait, wait, wait wait..
