This has been my experience as well. Have you replaced your pads? Recommendations?

El Taco Blanco is gone. Traded in for an F150 today, which I missed. Since I know it's helpful, I got $32,500 for my 2018 TRD OR DCSB @ 40K.

    Good luck out there.

Sticker on 4Runner was $46,500, sticker on taco was $44,500. Ended at 40,500 for the Runner (which was the same as the truck) and trade in was 36k for the truck. I took a hit for sure, but with MSRP at 2k more on the 4runner I swallowed the 2k differential and happily (and smoothly) drove away. I wanted more for trade in but wasn't willing to haggle anymore. After they let me drive the 4Runner all day I had already made my mind up. I told them beat 41,500 for the 4Runner and they did so I took it.

I got bent over and/or you got a crazy steal if you came out at 32.5k for a 19' TRD OR Premium. MSRP is like 44,500 right? You were 12k below?

Correction: had to look back as I was looking at Premium and Non Premium packages. On my Premium the sticker was 42,547- Discount 5819 - Rebate 500 = $36228.00. I had another offer for a non Premium version that was 32,000 and change though. I also bought my truck on the last day of the month.

Info to help: my 2018 4x4 SR started shaking when I applied the brakes at about 3100 miles (has 15K on it now). I took it to the Casey Toyota dealership in Williamsburg Virginia and the team replaced both of my drum brakes yesterday. They were able to quickly diagnose from measuring the tolerance of the drums + the lack of steering wheel bounce on braking. The shake is gone now and braking feels much smoother. Hope this helps anyone needing a remedy for "New 4x4 Tacoma Has Vibration When Braking".

In addition, there seems to be some pending issues with 2016-2018 Tacoma rear axles ... I hope my new drums stay in tolerance.

I posted the below in another forum, but wanted to share here as well:

I have recently took my Tacoma (2019 TRD OR) for service and I mentioned that I was experiencing this vibration issue. They looked at it and confirmed the vibration and said they found a TSB for it (probably the one that has been mentioned in these forums, they mentioned work on the rear axle). They have had the truck for over a week now (apparently they kept getting the wrong parts in) and just yesterday they told me they were able to install all the new parts and then took the truck out for a test drive and the vibration is still there. Now they are having to bring in a Toyota field service tech to look at it. The technician at the dealer said he has never done this repair before. I have also called Toyota corporate who started a case for me, but there really isn't much more they can do yet.

So far this has been a pretty frustrating experience and at this point I am starting to loose hope that they will find a fix. But, I wanted to share my experience so far and I will update this once I know more.

I don't even have a Tacoma yet but i've looked into this issue as well before even purchasing one some people say its the drive shaft angle and theres a TSB for leaf spring replacement to supposedly help fix it that or else you shim the leaf springs yourself i believe to fix the angle.

Yeah, I have heard of that as well. I think that is mostly for people that have a lift, but I could be mistaken. Mine is completely stock, so far.

It's happening stock, some with lifts actually fixes it with the stiffer driveline angle, but then you void you warranty so then your dealership may not touch the axles or drums if that was indeed your issue.

Shaking in rear during braking, much more noticeable under harder braking and very clear when just using E-Brake.

    Taking to dealership asap

I ended up opening a case with Toyota and have gained some progress. Just got a call from the service manager and they are going to replace the leaf springs per Toyota.

Good luck, but I wouldn't rest on those leaf springs making any difference. I would also "encourage" (demand) the service folks to test drive once they are finished. If it is anything like my truck, it was 100x worse after the leaf spring change.

Yeah I don't have high hopes. Thanks for the recommendation, definitely will do. The service manager and I drove around first so he could feel it for himself so I'll make sure he drives it afterwards.

So the dealer replaced the leaf springs as well as installed a steering wheel damper (part number 45713-35040). They also stated there was excessive clearance in the steering wheel and leaf springs. After driving it for a bit and doing my tests, it feels much better! The vibration is not completely gone but it's very minor. I feel like if someone who didn't know I had the issue before drove it wouldn't even feel it. All in all, I'm very happy with how it brakes now. I'll keep this thread updated if anything changes. Hope this helps others.
