There are two known issues and associated TSBs. One is for out of round axles. The other is for out of round rear brake drums. I think both TSBs were linked earlier in this thread.

Take your truck to a dealer for evaluation.

Guy I know at work has a 7 year old 150 and has pumped in $9000+ in repairs. Good luck. :spending:
2 year + 2016 Taco here and no issues other than a battery. And I read everything posted here to look at.

People here bitch about the taco changing gears, go to a 150 and you'll bitch about changing transmissions.

No. That was on Tuesday when I bought it. It was after I test drove it and then went in and signed the paperwork

My truck had its axles replaces due to vibration @ 12k miles. TSB for axles. Vibration still there although not as bad. Took it again. theyre replacing drums and milling front rotors. Hopefully that solves. The vibration i experienced was when braking from highway speeds. Had master tech sit in on a drive both times.

I have a 2017 TRD sport and it started happening to me this past weekend, that's why i looked up this thread. Started feeling it with a quad in the bed and braking. not terrible, but it doesn't make me feel good about the truck. had the same problem with my 2000 f150, but that truck was raised 6" and huge tires installed. TRD is factory and just over 1 year old.

2018 Tacoma TRD Sport bought October 14th. November 5th right now. 550 miles on the odometer. Noticed it at about 200 miles but was probably happening sooner but this is my first truck so I thought it was something to do with the truck. I finally said this is not normal and got a friend to drive it as well who agreed. It's at the Poway, California Toyota dealership now where I wasted 3 hours of my life today and they are replacing the rear axles via TSB. The tech said this was his first Tacoma for this service bulletin. I hope this solves it. Bought a Tacoma for the allegedly reliability. Not off to a good start.

Give em a chance. Could be anything from a bad tire, to a bad balance job.

Haha, hopefully only once more with a resolution about this issue and that its solved by replacing the axles. Although the pessimist in me (from reading this thread) believes otherwise. Besides this issue really enjoying the truck.

20181107_165643.jpg They did the 0023 service bulletin. Replaced $3000 dollars worth of parts. Appears to have fixed the issue from the 5-6 miles I have driven so far..

Pull Ebrake (slightly!) at speed. Should feel vibration. Dealer says it's warped Axel's. To me it feels like warped drums. Been months and I still haven't had time to come in to get it replaced.

Got my Tacoma 4x4 fixed last night with all the same repairs you have here. Rear vibration is completely gone now.

How long did it take for you guys to get your trucks back? I have an 18 TRD Sport with just under 700 miles with the same vibration issues. Probably gonna take it to the dealer tomorrow.

I took mine in on Tuesday around 1:00pm and they just finished the job before the 7:00pm close the following day. My truck had the rear vibration since day 1..Toyota changed out both rear axles on mine.

Right on. Thanks for answering my question. I've had my truck for just a few weeks (first vehicle purchase/first truck), and the rear vibrations have been going on since day 1 too. Love the truck though still, and hopefully this can get fixed as well.

What does the vibration “feel” like.

I’ve noticed a vibration but it feels almost like it’s by design... like an electronic braking enhancement.

    I have a 2018

    Maybe I’m screwed up
