Well my 2019 creak is getting worse. I ordered some disc brake grease but now I’m thinking that I’ll press for the TSB instead since the grease may just mask the problem and it will return. I’ve already got it on record with the dealer but they “could not duplicate” earlier.

ps. It almost sounds like the spring. I dunno.

That's my plan with my 2019. Mine seems to randomly come and go now. Not frequent though. I tried lubing but man it seems tough to get all up in there.

Will they do the TSB on 2019 trucks? Is my question.

Yes, the TSB applies to 2019's.

They did the TSB on my 2020 even thought it doesn't apply (yet)

I've had some luck recently smashing some brake grease up between the MC push rod and the black collar that pushes it, as well as where the coils of the spring touch each other. I've also recently noticed now that its not 98* every day that it seems to creak less with cooler weather. Of course now that my 20k service is coming up I've gotten it to mostly stop so I'm certain when I take it in they won't be able to replicate it.

Use one of those long wooden Q Tips to spread the disc brake grease up in there, makes it a little easier.

I'm sure it will get added the first round say through 2018 and then they did an update and added 2019 MY after that. There is probably some threshold for number of complaints needed to get something converted to a TSB or Recall.

Updates to the TSB thus far have been done when actual changed to the parts have occurred. Performing the TSB on a 2020 would be putting the same thing that the truck already has into it.

Not saying the 2020’s won’t be added, but I expect it will happen when and if a further revision is made to the part design(s).

    Here's an interesting one.

I was getting a sound when engaging the clutch. It was quiet enough that I would usually only hear it when letting off the pedal after shut down. I was not sure if it was coming from the foot well or the bell housing. I finally determined it was from inside.

Trying another application of brake grease, I noticed that there was some black stuff smeared on the M/C shaft. It wasn't there when I adjusted the shaft length about 9mo ago because it was clicking and wiped off easily with brake cleaner sprayed on a towel. My guess is that the black stuff was making a noise when the shaft was sliding through the rubber cover? I put a bit of brake grease on the shaft and will see what happens.

So, if you have a noise that sounds a bit like air moving in a brake / clutch system, take a look at the M/C shaft.

Jeez, I tried to grease the pedal assembly and apparently you need to be a contortionist with night vision. I did get some lube on one of spring bushings and that seemed to work. Now I think I have too much free play in the pedal which is a different issue.

Yup. That is the main reason why I think the TSBs were getting done so poorly.

My only tip is to get on your back.

Yeah I essentially gave up...........and I am a fairly limber small guy. Couldn't get in there with my head lamp or put the light anywhere.

I am going to get some thick towels and lay them in there on the floor and seat, then I have these extra long spray can straw tubes.............plus going to use the long q tip sticks as mentioned earlier.
