Mine squeaked and clicked while still in warranty, but grease and adjustment fixed it for me.

It's just not the best design to start with.

I had the tsb performed 11 months ago. Last night the creaking came back. I'm under warranty until 120k so my 2019 goes back to the dealer next week.

Does this TSB hold up in Canada as well? Didn’t read through the entire 14 pages. But yes, clutch squeak is real, and really annoying.

Mine turned nasty yesterday. I was waiting to do fuel pump at the same time.

I may see if I can contortion some spray grease all up in there.

I might try greasing up the pedal after having a look at it this weekend.

Ended up having the dealer replace the clutch pedal assembly under the latest TSB. Technician greased it up good before installing. Quiet like it should be but for how long?

Bad timing: When I left the dealer it was dark and rural. I decided to "Road test" my truck. At 80+ MPH the nice policeman decided he needed to slow me down. 62 in a 45 zone, not too bad @ $130. :burnrubber:

Mine is at dealer. Of course, dealer does not hear noise.

    Which dealer?

Unfortunately with the other issue, getting to another wouldn't be easy.

I've heard of issues on the service side there from a few folks. Good luck!

Mine came back after 1k miles after replacement. I used some lithium grease on it it helped. But it looks like I’ll be lubing from now on .....

Try using Disc Brake Grease on all the pivot points and it won't melt away like other greases.

It is hard to believe that all the geniuses at Toyota can't come up with a quiet clutch pedal assembly. A sealed needle bearing on an axle and a rigid frame would do it. Crazy part is this has been an issue for almost 20 years.

I just had this TSB done and the clutch catch point is closer to the floor (about 2” lower) Not sure if this was intended or if the clutch pedal adjustment wasn’t done properly to match how it comes from the factory. I like how it feels now with the catch point lower but I also hope it hasn’t shifted the rest point to allow more slip.

I just had this done as well. Clutch feels about the same though. No squeak at the moment...

I experienced the same lower catch point. I have read this is intentional due to the different pedal hydraulic cylinder. Everything was great for 11 months until the noise returned. TSB parts are under a 1 year warranty so they put in a new pedal assembly. Toyota can keep doing this indefinitely as far as I am concerned. It would be even better if they could figure out how to manufacture a robust, quiet clutch pedal assembly.

I wonder if anything is available from the aftermarket :jerkoff: Wish I had an old one to reverse engineer
