Mine squeaks. I lube it occasionally and just try to live with it.

Which parts do you lube, and what do you use for lube?

I use to reapply lube on the pedal, the sound would eventually come back. It doesn’t bother me but I found out if I keep the squeak, the wife hates the sound and won’t drive it. …The squeak stays

I had a sound on my 2021, I lubed the pins and it didn't go away. After looking at it again, I realized I didn't clean/lube behind the pedal. the part where the pedal arm pushes on the plunger. The sound went away after I blasted it with some compressed air. I'm guessing some dust/sand from off-roading while the windows are down gummed up that area

I've been using white lithium grease on the spring assembly. I think I've read that some folks use disk brake grease, but I've never tried that myself.

Just had T-SB-0112-19 done to mine. It started to squeak in 2020, particularly in hotter weather. The on hot days, the squeaking got loud and it was at its worst this past Summer. It is hardly driven so when I brought it in for service in November, I brought up the issue. It was cold so the noise was negligible. But releasing clutch in first gear, you can feel the pedal bind/pulsate. My service advisor couldn't detect it. He got his top Technician to look at it and when I told him to start up the truck and engage in 1st gear, he felt it. Within 2 hours, the Service Advisor called me back and said his Tech found the TSB. The binding, squeaking is gone.

Anyone have this TSB done outside of the 36K warranty? I’m at like 88k and debating if it’s worth it to have fixed this late

My 21 Has been squeaking real bad for a while now (truck has 16k on it). I have pinpointed the culprit to the piston binding against the bushing/seal going into the clutch master cylinder. I sprayed some grease on it and it smoothed up the pedal action a ton and the squeak went away...for now.

Does anyone know if Toyota is using the same POS clutch pedal assy in 2022?

Pretty sure - it's been the same assembly with the same TSB for the last 20 years or so...

Toyota has not updated the clutch pedal since the TSB was last updated. So yes, 2022 is still the same as 2019.

Well I'm stuck in Georgetown, Tx right now cause the driver side diff seal blew on the way here Saturday, and I talked to them about the clutch and it is still active to at least the 2020 for a recall. However my unintentional vacation will get another day lol. So yes it is still a problem idk of the bulletin number but I'll post it when I pick up my truck.

Was it the same? I have this one with me in hand for an appointment at dealer Friday. Normally I never go to the dealer but it's a pain and I don't want to mess with it myself
