T-SB-0112-19 Would have been 740$ but the extended warranty paid it.

The TSB applies only for 2005-2019 model years. It does not apply, yet, to 2020 or newer.

Warranty would probably kick it back if the dealer tried to submit it as the TSB. The parts could obviously still be replaced under warranty for a 2020, but it would just be submitted as a regular warranty claim, without reference to the TSB. The TSB offered no additional warranty coverage anyway, so it is effectively the same.

If you have the "TSB done" on a 2020, they just put the same parts in that the truck already had.

Either way like I stated extended warranty took care of it it was making creaking cracking noises they listed the tsb and parts used on the print out.

Yeah, it was warranty so no big deal. Just meant as a heads up for other 2020-2022 owners that there aren't newer parts available than what they have. Obviously if there is a concern, warranty (or extended warranty) will cover replacing things.

So I get a very audible click/pop noise when coming off the clutch pedal. Does anyone else have that and is there something I can adjust to prevent or reduce this? Thanks.

I called back before going back in-- And basically said what you said up top. Gonna fight with me until they have to fix it. Why the hell don't they just use the right parts from the start if this is a known issue? Toyota doesn't make many manual tacos let alone manuals period.

Looks like it's just gonna be a waste of time again back and forth until the idiots fix it. No wonder I never fuck with the dealer. This site shits all over them.

BOttom line--they shouldn't waste my time. I have greased it for 20k miles. They need to stop wasting all of our time and just replace the parts

Oh. Yeah. If greasing is not helping, then you have a bigger issue.

Just because a TSB doesn’t apply to a vehicle doesn’t mean they don’t have to fix a similar problem with the vehicle, haha. What are they even saying? If it’s not working properly you fix it.

The one in Cedar park is where mine was towed to, but they tried to sell me fluid change front to back for about $600. Since I already had an apt for the the 45k maintenance I declined and asked a a week ago, and they pulled up all the maintenance done at 40k prior to it being put up for sale. So I'd say cedar park is good at getting the work done, but isnt very honest with the rest of it.

So, I wanted to follow up on this a month or two later. They did state that they would extend the TSB to my vehicle since the creak was so bad you could depress the clutch with your hand, and clearly feel the mechanism creak, and matched the description to a t. Perhaps it depends on the dealer, perhaps they did as you said and they simply replaced the same parts.

I first reported that my creak came back. This was erroneous. After a few more trips, I finally had down time to sit under my car and figure out the source of the squeak to start blasting it. The squeak this time around was a lot less pronounced, and didn't have the same stiff pedal feeling through the leg as pre-tsb. After depressing the clutch pedal a few hundred times with my hand, and hearing nothing, and then depressing it with my foot, and hearing the creak, I thought I was going insane. Well, shit. I found the new "noise". The drive side seat ( I have leather) creases into the plastic, and makes a new creak that was masked by when the clutch was creaking . When I realized the source of the new creak, I couldn't stop laughing for a little while. Now, I need to try to figure out why the seat does that, but at least the clutch creak is gone.

I'll check back in in a few more months / thousand miles, but I am happy to report (2 months / 2000 miles so far) , no creaking clutch, just a creaky seat now.

The shift boot starting to squeak in the creases was what threw me over the edge to get the redlinegoods.com shift boot. It's on the wrong side, but it could be the side of the seat rubbing the console when you add pressure? Shove a towel between them to see. If so, some vinyl protectant might help?

Just got mine done. Feels great so far! Work order states that I got the following:

    31420-60032: Cylinder Assy, Mas
    31311-04021: Pedal, Clutch
    31434-60010: Hose, Clutch Reser
    90389-06055: Bush
    08887-02007: Body Grease W

I don't think they gave me a new pedal, as my pedal still has some of the old dirt cached in there. Doesn't bother me though. As long as I don't have the noise I'm happy. We'll see how long it lasts.
