^ I've heard of Rupert. I'll look for vids/audio on line. Thanks for the tip.

I know Alex Jones can go overboard a bit... I take him with a grain of salt like all others but I am fascinated with what he talks about. His documentaries are great and I appreciate his passion too. Still, I've read a ton on the "New World Order" and I'm totally convinced there is a plot afoot and it is playing out as we speak.

Considering our own forefathers and previous American leaders (Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Lincoln, Eisenhower, and Kennedy but a few) warned us years ago about all that is happening now: World bankers/government, the abusive and out-of-control Federal Reserve, and the completely unchecked military industrial complex, etc. Shit, these elitists don't even pretend to hide their agendas and motivations anymore--they are moving boldly... and very quickly. How can anyone not see that there may be something to all this?

BTW, I'm also a big Coast-to-Coast fan... been listening since the mid-90s when Art Bell was still hosting. That stuff fascinates me.

Agreed. You gotta take of your own household first because to depend on the government is insane and a recipe for disaster.

I listen to Alex Jones from time to time. I agree he can be a little extreme sometimes, but his heart and head are in the right place. Websites that I visit on a daily basis to keep myself educated are LewRockwell.com, Economicpolicyjournal.com, thedailybell.com, infowars.com, dailypaul.com. I also try to read as many books as possible, a lot of books by Austrian Economists. Austrian Economics is a school of thought, Austrians believe in free markets, limited government, maximum individual liberty and sound money. The best most mainstream example of an Austrian economics leaning person is Ron Paul. Ron Paul has been speaking for years about what is going on now, he has been warning against all the spending and debt and fiat money. Once you start studying Austrian Economics it makes it very easy to see what is going on.

I think more and more people are waking up to what is going on and are starting to get interested. As a country and as individuals we have to understand how important liberty is. Economic freedom and personal freedom go hand in hand. Our economy is anything but free, it never will be with a central bank. Sadly for many years now we have been conditioned to rely on government to meet our needs, and that system is going away. The world is drowning it debt. I believe we are on the edge of a big change and it is going to go one of two ways. Either we as people continue to submit and the bankers will take even more control and we will lose more freedoms. Or we can demand an end to central banks, default on the debt that none of us really owe(I mean I never once in my life voted for any of the spending, so I have no reason to pay it off) go back to sound money and rebuild a good economy and live our lives with more freedom.

Yep. We are reaching a breaking point. Not just in the US but the world. Either we will choose to go along with the elites with their plan for global domination, or we will choose to stand up and defend our inherent and unalienable (also written "inalienable") rights as humans. Look around you. Turn on the TV and watch any news program. The shit is getting ready to hit the fan--big time and I'm not talking about the numerous 2012 apocalyptic predictions or zombie uprisings. The global economy is on the brink of a devastating collapse. No nation will be spared--even China, whose dependence on food and oil imports dwarfs any other nation. The elites and global bankers are counting on our complacency, apathy, and more importantly, our silence. Like lambs to the slaughter.

Sorry to get so serious but I feel extraordinarily passionate about this topic and I've tried to temper my comments/discussion keeping in my mind politics is verboten on TW. So, I will at least say this: I believe the Democratic and Republican parties are one and the same. In public they behave as enemies but behind closed doors, they are slapping each others' asses... and in all honesty, are in control of nothing. They are just front men/women for those that really control the government--useful idiots if you will. (That doesn't mean I don't think there aren't a few good-intentioned reps/senators serving on either side of the aisle--there are, but they are very few).

Who we really need to watch for is the men behind the curtain, the real power brokers: The bankers of the world and the super-elite who meet in secret to chart the course of the world. Don't believe me? If anyone doubts my comments, just do some research on Zbigniew Brzezinski, the Rockefeller dynasty, the Bilderberger Group, the Council on Foreign Relations, and the Trilateral Commission. They are real, they want to destroy nations, and they are all mad men. These evil twisted bastards are so brazen and believe they are so far above the law that they have even published their fanatical beliefs for the whole world to read.

Wrapping this up: Our nation's recent credit downgrade is just part of the bigger plan: To ultimately and completely devalue the US dollar, which in turn, will obliterate the many civilized nations that have been buying our debt for decades; to force the adoption and implementation of a global currency (our esteemed Secretary of the Treasury, Timothy "tax cheat" Geitner, has already stated he is "open" to this idea); and to ultimately decimate the middle class of all western nations, forcing acceptance by the masses of their new savior--a supreme global government--a New World Order.

Liberty or Tyranny? It's our choice. Do we go along with their plan or fight back? I guess we'll all know soon enough.

Um...S&P (Standard & Poors) is not a lender. They are a credit rating agency. Think of them as the Equifax, Trans Union, or Experian for companies large and small. Another credit rating agency for companies is Moody's.

I think it's time your country lowered spending and raised taxes .

Or just wait 2 years and do this again

Funny how they (treasury bills) are the only thing (sarcastically speaking) that didn't lose money yesterday.
