so my wife had to work last night and i had to do puppy duty, well guess what 1 am i can hear the dog straining. at 7am she has her first puppy (which was not breathing) then a second one 5 minutes later (again not breathing) so here i am with my 3 kids 9, 8 and 5 trying to work on puppies. after about 5 minutes of work i got puppy number 1 breathing, puppy 2 i could not revive (after 15 minutes of work) puppy 3 shows up but is very much alive. then my wife gets home followed by my sister (she is a vet) about an hour later puppy 4 shows up and 30 minutes later puppy #5 shows up all of them are good.
so we saved one of the two that was born dead or at least none responsive. i have never done mouth to mouth on a dog or person but i did today, i also watch my sister try it and also do heart compressions. it has been very hard on my 9 and 8 year old but more so on my 8year old he does not understand and thinks it is just unfair. so here are our new puppies 1/2 pug and chihuahua, so they are chug puppies

rub it vigorously, swing it downward to get fluids out of the lungs and mouth (this must be done while supporting the whole body, neck and head), breath into its nostrils and mouth, and chest compression if you know the heart is not pumping.

    it works we saved one.

Nice and good working. Too bad for your eight year old but he'll have a better understanding when he gets older and a better love for animals
