Believe it. Now more than ever with the little one. I think it's cool that a lot of these trucks are starting to get well over 200K in miles and still rolling, with AC:)

Well...I hope I've found it. I greased the bejesus out of the slip shaft and I think that was it.

Nope. Beginning to think the one piece TW D shaft might be in my future.

I have OME/882 front with a diff drop and in the rear I have AP expo springs with the bottom and third from the bottom leaves pulled to soften them up some. 10" bilsteins, 1.5" longer (3/4" lift) AP shackles, 2.5 degree shim in the rear. I had shim the CSB down about 1/2"-3/4" and just removed that and the shimmy has moved up the mph range to around 70. Throttle transition shudder isn't as bad, I am thinking I have a bad u-joint but am getting tired of f#cking with it really.

    Have at it man:)

One piece Tom Woods D-shaft should be here middle of next week. Maybe this will take care of my issues without creating too many of it's own. If it doesn't help or makes things worse it will get returned and I will order new tires:)

Wasn't AS bad as a I thought, but I don't wanna do it again. Heater core replacement. However I am learning more about this truck than I would have with the other one, and the power and economy of the 3.4 is fabulous and I am really getting to enjoy the auto trans. Sometimes I think it would be COOL to swap to the 5 speed, but not worth the hassle. I am really getting to the point that I want to add some larger, more aggressive tires, but I think I will be waiting until after Christmas for that. :(

It's like a scene from a TV show like ER or something - all guts in the operating room. Put some "easter eggs" back in there for some new owner one day to find if they ever tear it down like this. Like a little treasure map rolled up and zip tied to some part deep down in there, that leads them to a steel nickle or something you hide. Be cool! Or is that just my wired thinking? :D Every concrete block wall I have ever built - I toss in a few pennies or nickles in a block that does not get core filled, just in case some future dude tears it down and goes "Holy hell, a 100 year old nickle!!!" Better yet, "Blimeny, a 500 year old extruded metallic form of payment!"

    Nickel and dime...

...got the TW driveshaft in and smooth as silk up until I let off the throttle at speeds around 70mph. Get a hell of a shake/shudder and then gone. I get home from a Dr. appointment after having run the driveshaft for 30 miles maybe and found the underside of the truck soaked with what appears to be ATF. and drips when I have it running in park. I think the pump seal that is behind the torque converter is the culprit. I will pinpoint this weekend and decide how to handle it. If it is indeed the trans I will be yanking it and taking to AAMco for a rebuild, and no more worries.

Well I'll be damn, it wasn't the trans, it was a combination of the oil filter being a little loose and the seal on the drivers side front axle leaking. I am going to go ahead and do the ECGS bushing upgrade to that side to rule that out as my shudder thing while I replace the seal. I will report my findings. Also, I decided to send back the TW drive shaft and stick with factory. The shaft they sent is fucking gorgeous though, would have loved to have it on the truck, but didn't do what I needed. And that is tire money:)

It is a little noisy running in and out, but I will break it down this winter and rebuild it.

No John, it has been cut. I don't think you can mount the solenoid box without it. I didn't feel like adding abunch of extra work and money to do dash switches right now and also didn't really see a good spot in the bay for the box either. Gives me a reason to pull and paint the grill black now:)

Thanks bud. I used a small Japanese style pull saw and it fit great between main parts of the grill. Trimmed a little at a time until it fit well.
