    it's probably not much different...other than the grip...i didnt like the "basic" grip that i held

    Speaking of which...Palmetto State now has their own line of uppers etc...

    You can build an entire PSA carbine length AR-15 for just shy of $700

    I didnt even touch the grip that came with my dpms lpk. I've got one of those magpuls on mine too.

    If it makes any difference...the people who work there are fantastic to deal with

    I've bought 5 or so guns from them...and various odds and ends...

    Customer service with them is great

    I've got a saiga shotgun on layaway up there now (store front is 5 min from me) and once that's off...i'll probably build one of those

    I never had an AR, but I've got this bug to build one. I was looking at spikes and aero precision based on cost, even though spikes is a little more, I think I'm going to pick one up (stripped lower, about $90). Looking at a DD LPK too. Not sure about an upper yet though. Gotta give my FFL bud a call and see if his license is on file with the vendor...

    I got the spikes because a had a couple of buddy's that recommend them.

    I picked up a Spikes stripped lower. Brownell's has them for about $90. My FFL bud was in the process of putting together an order for Brownell's when I called him so I'll probably save on shipping. Last time I went thru him he didn't charge me for the transfer but he did hit me for sales tax... I'm not sure exactly how legit that is but IMHO it was a wash.
