I'm looking at purchasing a BakFlip tonneau cover or Undercover Flex for my new truck. I'm wondering what the available bed height is with the tonneau closed on a '16 or '17 Tacoma? Want to make sure my gear will fit under the cover.
    Thanks.

Are you planning on using a bedliner or bed mat?
I made my own out of workout foam, so I have a feeling it's thicker than the factory mat. I'll measure clearance when I get home tonight and update.

I will not have a mat, liner or rug in the bed. If you could measure where the locking mechanism is to the bed that would be great, I'm assuming that is the limiting height.
    Thank you!

Sorry for the late reply. With my thick mat it has around 18 inches of clearance, possibly 17.5 at the thickest tonneau foam seam (right at the tailgate).

    Great, thank you!

Does the locking mechanism for the tonneau cover reduce this clearance? You mention that you measured at the tailgate. How far does the locking mechanism (channel that houses the cable for unlocking the sections) stick down from the cover?

    Thank you again.

It should be no more than 1/2 an inch, but that's right at the tailgate. Based on this I'd say you should have at least 17 inches everywhere, but I'm not sure I thoroughly audited the cover for the lowest possible point.

I'm getting the Revolver as well. How well did your mods work? And can you link me to the Rok Blok and side seals you have? Love that idea.

How is this holding up? And has it helped with water entering your bed?
