New batch FSW Wheels Still not Fitting

Not sure I would call warning consumers of a particular issue "Putting them on blast"...

 

The plot thickens...seems as if one of the packages (2 wheels per package) was lost in transit. UPS says "Info Not Available". Lovely!

 

Update
6/26 - UPS attempted delivery of the wheels to my house. I was not home, so a note was left on my door
6/27 - UPS is attempting redelivery today, however I am away for the next week. I spoke with UPS and told the representative as much, she said FSW needs to contact UPS to redirect the package.

 

I've had good luck with having the delivery guy call me to get my permission to leave packages and a trusted neighbor moving the package to my backyard. Helps if you have good relationships with your neighbors

 

So aside from the previous batch having a known problem in fit which has evidently been resolved for future wheels, how are these wheels overall? I’m looking at a set when they restock the style I’m considering. How’s the quality? Good finish that doesn’t fade? They’re slightly cheaper than factory OEM but the OEM fitting issue, especially on the rear with the TRD 4Runner Pro style wheel on a Tacoma is not something I want to have to alter to get the fit right.

The lost package was attempted redelivery 3x to my house, but since I was on vacation it was returned to sender and received by FSW on 7/5. Have not heard back from FSW at this point.

 

im happy with the fit and finish of mine. they also balanced out better than my pro comps

 

Did you contact the delivery service or FSW to make them aware of your vacation?

 

Yes, i contacted UPS after the first delivery attempt as I saw the sticker on my door (security cameras). I also got an email notification (which surprised me, wasn’t expecting a package) to find it was the wheels original tracking number. So this is when I called UPS and asked them to just release the package at my house but they refused. The rep said they would attempt delivery 2 more times then return to sender. Explained I was on vacation for 10 days and she said that’s all she could do. At this point I had lost service on the drive out to go camping. Had no service for the next week or so.

got home to see the package in transit back to FSW (sender). I emailed FSW after it was delivered for them to confirm they received but have not received a response.

 

last ditch effort is leaving a piece of paper for the delivery guy with your signature asking for them to leave the package. typically they wont let you call and change that but the piece of paper works in my experience with their delivery guys.

 

Unfortunately I was already on vacation, I was not expecting the package to be delivered back to my house. I have a MyUPS account and have all signatures waived so I don't have this problem, but I guess that didn't apply to this one for some reason.

Should have re-directed the boxes to your work, friends' house, etc.
This situaiton is not FSW fault.

 

I did not once blame this on FSW, not sure where you got that idea.

 

they could have let you know they shipped it out (or was it assumed they were shipping it out soon when you notified them of the issue with the previous set?) sounds like poor communication all around

 

I am not sure I am following, I sent the packages out to be returned to FSW, one made it, the other was somehow lost in transit. I explain this on this thread, as well as DM'd Dustin from FSW on here, as well as email FSW customer service. Several days had passed, I went on vacation and that first day I was gone, it was attempted delivery by UPS to my house. I wasn't home, so it was attempted 2 more times while I was away with no cell service. The package was shipped back to FSW and marked as delivered. I emailed FSW to confirm they received the package but have not heard a response yet. This was last week.

to clarify, this is the set of wheels I received that did not fit. I did not exchange them. Simply returned for a refund after speaking with Dustin and FSW Customer Service rep.

Unfortunately no, they are out of stock. I wish because they look awesome and the price is great along with a ton of satisfied customers.

 

Oh yeah, they look pretty good and balance out also.

 

7/19 update
FSW confirmed on 7/12 they received the 2nd pair of wheels and would be issuing a refund. This was a week ago and have not received the refund yet. This lackadaisical approach on on their part is not a good look.
