None yet but in the works!
BFGs ATs are the best all around tire for the money. The tires on my Bronco are three years old and never had a problem. Rocks , snow, or sand. Dont have much mud here in So Cal.

I have used the Procomp ATs and they last on the hiway but get side wall damage off road. They only have 2 ply sidewalls.

Now on my Tacoma I am trying out the Cooper AT3s ownly because there on my daily driver so I want them to last on the hiway. We shall see.

Looks more like a hybrid than a true AT. As someone who has had great value/success with the BFG ATKO, I hope this tire gets decent mileage, isn't too pricey, and lasts a long time as well as the old one.

Just because something is popular doesn't mean it's any good. Take Natural Ice for instance. As far as quality, the BFG A/T is about as good as Naty Ice where something like a Nitto Terra Grappler or Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac is like a good Sam Adams or Longboard Island Lager.

Geez, why the hate? Aside from your opinion that BFG ATs suck, why would you automatically discount the quality of the new versions, especially from a picture? Did BFG touch you as a child?

BFG has great marketing. Many people that run them side by side with another tire, realize how much better the other tires out there are. I ran BFG's for 15 years, and swore by them. I had a manufacture ask me to try their new (at the time) AT, so I gave it a shot. One day, I ran a trail, then that evening, had the new AT's put on, then the very next day, I ran the same trail with the new tires. I was amazed at the difference. Nitto, Cooper, Yokohama, etc., all make AT's MUCH better than the BFG AT's. One thing I will give the BFG's, is that the tread never seems to wear. The tires start to ride like you have squares on your axels, before the tread shows need for replacing.

Well sum bitch, would-ya look at that, A sidewall that serves a purpose on an AT. I actually like them. These should be a big seller with the street queens too, good tread wear, good street manners and sidewalls that give the look that so many mall crawlers want without having to run a mud tire

My "opinion" is based on years of extreme off-road and torturous abuse of tires for my job. My life, and the life of others, depends on the quality of the tire mounted to my vehicle. Street use of the BFG A/T gives years of trouble free service. Once you actually leave the tarmac and put them to hard use, they disintegrate in short order while giving marginal traction at best.

Regardless of what you might think of the BFG A/T, I know I am doing the tax payers a favor by buying lower cost, higher quality tires.

Meh. There are plenty of good all terrains, but with all the sketchy ones out there too I'm a little suspicious of anyone who singles out BFG KOs... there must be ulterior motives, although maybe it's just because they're perceived as the big boys on the block. Some might be a little better, but there's a reason pros and events all the way down to Joe Shmo consistently rank them near the top, and it's not all marketing. Sure they ride like a truck but they also represent a fair value.

In any case, I'm interested in this new version.

So for everyone who strongly dislikes the BFG's what do you recomend? I have had BFG's on multiple trucks and never had a issue with them. Aired down they do good in sugary soft sand and never had issues in Baja with them. Now granted they are not as good as a MT but they are a lot nicer on the road and last forever. I'm running MT's now that the truck is not a daily driver but curious what all terrains you guys run.

Take your pick...all phenomenal tires and most of them are cheaper than the BFG's.

...and the Destinations. I'm getting Revo 2s for my big truck in about 6 months.

I'll be getting new BFG AT KOs in less than a year for the Tacoma since I've had success with them before. I would probably go Duratrac but they don't have the right size for me in a 15" rim. Hopefully these new BFG ATs will be out by then... I'd love to test them.

Have to agree to disagree on the Nittos were some of the worst tires I have ever owned. Have the duratrac's now and they are good but nothing to write home about. The grabbers look interesting though, they are on my list if I go back to a AT.
thanks for the list though, always nice to get thought out responce:)

I have to disagree for the type of off-roading I do which is a Federal Park called PINS, a 60 mile stretch of undeveloped non manicured 4x4 only beach with a lot of washed up debris and even fish spines that can go through a sidewall. I currently have Duratracs and have had to plug many more punctures than I did with the BFG's, might be luck but I doubt it. BFG's lasted 100k miles, but they were E rated. I will get about half that from the softer and weaker Duratracs. For me the BFG's also floated better when aired down when the sand is sugar soft. In the wet they are about the same, but at about 70k miles the BFG's got real hard and weren't as good in the wet, when taking of from a stop, specially when tires are cold in my non lsd taco. I don't do rock crawling, mud or snow(where I hear Duras shine), so for my type of specific off-roading where I need a tough tire for the beach, the BFG is the winner and the new design looks improved.

the real question is the price, they are one of the most expensive tires you see, if the new design means price will be lower by a decent amount i'll be interested, but i bet they will get more expensive.

Not really diggin' it. I like the look of a clean sidewall, is there any advantage to sidewalls with designs on the side? I don't wheel enough to worry about sidewalls busting, but I think that the places I drive warrant an A/T tire.
