    Hello,

I am new on this forum, and this is my first time to post. I just finished building my 2019 Tacoma for my photo expeditions. My son is a supervisor in the QA dept of the San Antonio Toyota plant, so I was able to get the technical truck info I needed from him, but there were aftermarket questions he could not answer. I got the answers I needed by reading what you guys had to say. Thank you!

I'm writing this today to fill you in on something I just learned that may benefit you. I've been driving on BFG All Terrain T/A's for 25 of the past 40 years (had my first set on a International Scout I bought new in 1978). I had a new set of KO2s installed on my truck yesterday, then discovered that they did not have the mountain-snowflake symbol or the Winter rating. I called BFG and learned that they have divided the KO2 into two product lines: Winter rated tires without the mileage warranty, and All Season tires with a 50k mile warranty, for those that do not require the snow performance and mountain-snowflake symbol.
Discount Tire is now looking for a set of the tires I need, and will give me the new set for no additional charge - gotta love those guys!

Hope this helps somebody out there!

welcome to the site  Glad to hear your local Discount Tire is taking care of you!

The none 3PMSF tires are labeled DT on our site which is short for Different Tread.

Here are some additional details on the DT version...

The DT version only applies to select heavy-duty LR-E fitments as outlined below. The change is in the rubber compounding to improve longevity and the DT version is back with a 50K mileage warranty.

It's important to note that the DT version does NOT carry the 3PMSF designation, however, the M+S rating is maintained.

    LT285/70R17 121R BFG AT T/A KO2 DT
    LT285/75R16 126R BFG AT T/A KO2 DT
    LT275/65R20 126S BFG AT T/A KO2 DT
    LT275/70R18 125R BFG AT T/A KO2 DT
    LT285/65R20 127S BFG AT T/A KO2 DT
    LT265/75R16 123R BFG AT T/A KO2 DT

Nice catch! I'll be sure to send this to our BFG representative.

I double checked our site and see the 3PMSF is not listed on any of the models so it looks like we need a refresh as well to clearly mark which tires carry this rating.

    Thanks again for your support!

I'm sorry, I was asking you to have the BFG website corrected. It will be good to have them both updated - even the Gen Mgr at my Discount store did not know exactly what the "DT" in the part number meant.
Thank you for your service! Discount has been good to me for many years.
