Yea, I’d like to see a comparison too. Overall I’d say the Bilsteins take the cake. They are better for dual purpose vs ADS more oriented OffRoad.

My ADS rides pretty plush in my daily commute, plus with adjustable reservoirs I can dial in my terrain, but I still want to see what the Bilsteins feel like.
Just wish they came with the 700# spring option. That was one of the deciding factors for me and many shops charge alot more to have the switch made

They come with a factory option for them now for up to 200lbs on the bumper.

I've got them on my truck.

Uh, Bilstein's own recommendations state that for a TRD Sport Double Cab (4x2 V6, Double Cab, 5' Bed) you do not use the #6/#5 option. There is a document that states that.

Prerunner it and use maxtrac spindles. That what I would have done to my Old 4x2 taco.

Thank you so much! Sounds like I'm going to be getting some 81xx suspension upgrades.

I agree with you on the leaf springs. Before I even took a Tacoma for a test drive, one look at the leafs and I knew they would not last. I was originally going to be putting a contractor's cap on the truck.

I'm doing the suspension upgrade for smoothness and reliability over a lift.

What leafs are you running on your truck and what lift?

Dakars or Alcans are the way to go. Deaver’s are heavy (actual weight) IMO

One of you guys with these 8112’s needs to strap a GoPro filming the shock as you go through the rough shit. I’d be curious and post one of my ADS

Are the 8112 a comparison to fox icon king 2.5's?

Your 4x2? Just wondering how much lift you got? 2.25-2.5” I’m assuming?
