Thanks for the post! A couple of questions:

    1. How hard was it to crank up your coilovers under the preload?
    2. Did you or do you have to get the truck realigned each time after tuning or making minor adjustments to your coilovers?

    1. It wasn't hard at all with a breaker/cheeter bar, even by hand alone it isn't bad. Problem is the lack of space to turn, even with the bump stop off you can only get maybe a quarter turn.

    2. Mine wasn't aligned from install, I wanted everything to settle before I had it aligned yesterday.

    3. FYI Tape you're spanner wrench, a I didn't even think about it and marred up the finish a bit.

It was my first time adjusting a adjustable coilover. If you would like I can pm you my #, so if you have a quick question during adjustment you can call or text. Up to you?

Thanks for the information! Your first hand knowledge is very helpful. And thanks for the offer to touch base, again very helpful! Will send a PM if I decide to tackle it. Right now I'm sitting at about 22" from the center of the hub to the bottom of the fender in the front... Was thinking of going up 1/2"....

On Bilstein’s website it lists two new options for springs on the 8112 that you can buy. One lists it as weight and the other it states for .5” of additional lift. They are both 14” springs and was wondering if anyone knows the difference between the two?

    Per bilstein.

Spring is the same dimension just a heavier wire diameter. Not possible to say it will give .5” over the 650 being the shock is adjustable you can set it to your desired height.

    Headstrong explained.
If your truck is totally stock and no huge amount of weight is up front you’ll gain .5 inch. It explains why my 6112 with a 650 spring gave me extra lift

700lh springs description I think it accounted for the extra weight up front so it’s the reason there is no mention on lift.

Sorry it’s actually called a roost shield by Fox. It’s to protect the passenger side rear which is susceptible to rock kick ups. And the shims are 3* pinion angle shims

For you guys running really heavy loads in the back... I get the 8100s...

But, honestly, you're really missing the pleasure of 8112s in the front... they are simply amazing...
