Who did you call? Bilstein? I'm dying to get my last rear shock. The 8112's in the front feel great.

4WP, who called Bilstein while I was on hold.

I've got my one shock, and my u402s sitting in the garage. If the stocks could even extend 2" safely, I'd just put the damn leaf kit on.

Which rear shock do you have? I'm waiting on the REAR LEFT but I already have the REAR RIGHT.

I'm using the Headstrong 3-leaf AAL. I went ahead and installed it a couple months back with the stock Off-Road Bilstein's.

Same here, have rear passenger, but need driver side (25-269802). I’ve been doing a good bit of OHV and trails lately, so kind of worried about max extension on the stock rears - don’t really care if they get damaged, but don’t want to get stuck somewhere or screw up something else on the truck. Maybe I’ll just pick up some cheap 5100s to get by til then.

Looks like it’s legit. Showing that shipper has it now, and should show up early next week.

Just got my left rear in! I had it on backorder (and paid for) from Shock Surplus. I called them on Monday and they said they actually had some in the warehouse and ready to ship. Glad I called, as Nick shipped one out directly to me. Not sure how long it would have taken them to sort through the preorders and ship them out.

Funny thing is that I'm not sure what the actual differences are between left and right rear 8100's. They are both identical in appearance besides the orientation of the stickers. The reservoir brackets are identical. I would think people could get away with ordering any rear 8100's they can find. Seems like the exact same parts (besides stickers). Thoughts?

You know, I think you're right. Got mine yesterday, and they seem to be the same (other than sticker placement). Installing later today, so I'll see if there's any differences in placement then.

I'm just about to put mine in too! I'm going to start at 4 turns in on the screws (from fully opened toward closed) on both compression and rebound and go from there.

Just got mine in, only had to flip that stupid mount bracket 3ish times per side. Unbelievable what a difference the rears make in ride quality - left mine stock for now. Figure that if I screw with it, that’s all I’ll be doing for a while.

Also, maybe I’m dense, but I didn’t see anything to make me think these should be side specific during the install.

I just went on a 30 minute drive on some secondary forest roads with my 15 year old son. These roads were all rutted out and would have been bone-smashing on the stock shocks.

Verdict on first outing: We were both giggling and astounded for the entire ride. Holy shit, what a difference they make! I’m excited to take some friends out.

Possibly the hose length? Maybe? Even if it was different, it still wouldn’t make a difference.

6-7 more weeks on the 8100s, possibly even longer. They’re waiting on a supplier for some parts. They basically have everything they need to put them together so hopefully it’s a fast turn around once they get what’s needed to finish the job.

I bought my set on March 5th of this year. Waiting on both of the backs. Fronts are at the shop and I will be getting those put on next week.

Nice! I’m loving the 8112/8100s, they’ve been on for a couple months now. I’m still running my ARB AAL from my old set up but want to upgrade to Deaver U402. Just got Hammer Hangers installed last Friday and soon TC spindle Gussets.
