New Blower Motor

You saw that too. I miss the days of Japenese made Denso electric components. I fixed the motor in my '06 Taco myself, if the niose ever returns, I'm going to attempt modifying the plastic housing to fit a Denso motor from a corolla. The're different, but still quite close.

 

Mine just started today. Seriously.

 

Looks like it is the same part then? I'm just about to pass my warranty had it replaced once before as well. Don't think I'll bother if its same...

 

So the gist of this is; There is "No New Blower Motor"?
Should we get the Thread Title Changed?
Who started this Rumor, anyway?

i had mine done today at the dealership, the service guy told me it is an updated verion, it may be the same part number, but its a different motor

sub'd. Mine is going in on Saturday.

 

There is in fact a new blower motor, slight changes, not going to see a difference when looking at the blower cage. I actually just installed one on another members truck Monday when he was in the shop getting his TSB leafs done. Thinking about icking one up for my truck, when i get the extra $$$

And thats not the old part number, that is in fact a new part number:

It'll show up eventually.
Dealership told me, during my last service, when I brought up the Blower Noise,
That there was a TSB (which I knew) and to call for an appointment to get it replaced.
Knowing them, I think I want to have the New TSB (and New Part #) in hand before I make the appointment, or I'll end up with an older Motor.

Pardon my noobness, but what about buying a non-OEM blower motor at autozone or something and putting it on yourself? Wouldn't that solve the problem??

 

Tack, you could buy an aftermarket part. However, some of us are still under warranty such as myself. I see that you listed yourself as having a 2010. So you should still be under warranty unless you love driving your Taco so much that you exceeded the miles already. Basically, why pay when you can get it for free?
