i have been rocking a new blower motor and it has been -25*C. No noise on two low speeds like before but a bit of a high pitch whine on top two speeds.

why? are you out of warranty? how many miles on your truck? It's an '09 so by age you should be good unless u bought it in '08.

I stopped at my local dealer today and tried to buy the new motor, had it in my hands and then they asked for $167 + tax, for me to install it at home... Fuck them, I left, I am going to get it online someplace. And yes I am way out of Warranty, it sucks that they built the truck with shit parts like this and won't stand behind their fuck up.

Someone should start a group buy on these for us out of warranty folks. I would but my local dealer is a big bunch of ass hats...

So, i just went and talked to our parts director. Told him the situation on here. Actually showed him "goufcustom" last post. I talked to him about the pricing and if he could do something for us. If you go to: TRDPartsCenter.com you can purchase the newest most updated blower motor directly from my dealership for:

    Item NumberMSRPCore PricePrice8710304043 $145.25$0.00$100.43Hvac - Controls - Blower motor
    Blower motor, tacoma 2005 - 2012

This would be $100.43 + shipping which he said is very reasonable.:D

    Does this help?

YES, thanks, I plan to order this weekend!

ETA: I just placed my order.

Still wonder why my dealership says that the Toyota price is $167 and not the $145...

I placed an order for the blower motor and some brake clips on 12/25. My order just got shipped today. Apparently they were out of the motors and was on backorder for a bit.

I probably got about three months and only 2000 kms or less on the new motor. I see no difference at all between the old and the new. Maybe its where I live in a colder climate?
