Reviving this as I'm currently in the process of doing the tundra brakes.
Had multiple issues. I bought the Amazon tundra kit, the red powder coated kit(can't remember the specific brand off the top of me head atm). As well as wheelers ss lines. First issue was the banjo bolts that came with those lines were too long so I had to drill those out. Then they kept leaking. Finally got them to stop leaking after multiple tries using new washers as well as teflon tape. But in the process I had let the master cylinder go empty by mistake. I thought bleeding the entire system really good would work, but I dont think it did...

My pedal gets zero pressure. Except maybe at the floor. Cant tell. I know y'all talked about spongy pedal after the tbu, and it firms up after a bit.. But this doesnt feel like I'm getting any pressure at all. Pedal goes to the floor easily. I'm thinking the master cylinder now has air in it and its not coming out. Does that sound right?

You need to do a bench bleed on the master cylinder. There are several different ways to do this while it is still on the truck, just search YouTube.

Yeah I was just looking. Ha. Found one where you bleed it through the caliper bleeder valve via tubing routed back up into the master reservoir to cycle it.

Many talk of the tundra swap, but something that is easily overlooked is that the spare tire rim also needs to be 16.

Sigh. Complete waste of a day. Nothing went the way it was supposed to. Turns out my master cylinder is bad. And I have a vacuum leak With the booster somewhere along the line that I can't quite locate. So it seems I need to dump even more money and time into this upgrade. After I just spent a ton on tires and wheels and brakes. Ugh. Not happy. But at least I know now. Just sucks my truck will be down for a week or two until I get the parts and find time to work on it.

I forgot about bleeding the rear proportioning valve.. Could that be the culprit by chance? Or better bet that the master is out? Not at home till later but wanted to check before I order up a new master if I do.
