New break booster but pedal way down

Quick info 03 v6 a/t
New booster because original was making a whistle noise . Turns out inner seal was a bit torn not holding pressure.
Installed rebuilt booster
Bleed MC an lines an no assist from booster pedal goes down to the floor an a hear air went I press down on top of break pedal by fire wall .

any ideas or I got a defective booster?

sounds like its defective.

 

Did you replace or have to take fluid from the master cylinder? If so May need to bench bleed it to remove air from it as well, not 110% just a though

 

Yes I drain the MC fluid was very dirty I did a bench bleed an after I install I crack open the lines at MC to take out air .

Leave it on the truck.
Put a vacuum on the system via the reservoir lid and let it sit about an hour. It’ll remove any air in the system.

When you cracked the brake lines you allowed air into the system .

Now bleed all 4 corners .

Plus it sounds like you received a bad brake booster as well.

Failed parts out of the Box are all to common these days

 

Yes I bleed all 4 Conners with the truck on the pedal goes to the floor an a sound on top of the break pedal by firewall like a plunger very time I press it .

I believe also is a bad booster it’s a reman one from china

 

As long as your brakes were good before this adventure started.

You did adjust the push rod on the reman Booster?? That could be your pedal travel or part of it.

You have a leak drawing in air as well.

Might be one of the bleeders it might be one of the lines at the master cylinders .

You can draw air and not leak fluid.Which can have your reaching for the Gas can.

push rod I eyeball from my old booster try to leave the same distance. But I’ll try to adjust it again .
Went I bleed my lines the MC work fine cuz it was pushing air out at my calipers an fluid was going out also .
Crazy ima put my old booster an see what happens next just to rule out defective booster
